Beast Tamer Academy

Seyric walked the long stretch of the hallway as he followed behind Vesper. Seyric's eyes were restless, fixated on the bunch of kids surrounded by different kinds of species, ranging from animals.

"You know, I heard about your mana element from Aureus... Has anyone told you yet?" Vesper smiled at him as he glanced behind Seyric, who was watching the other students.

"Oh, don't worry. You'd learn to have one as your companion."

Vesper said, waving his hand as he placed it on Seyric's shoulder.

"About that, Your Grace, I haven't had a chance to know about it."

Seyric lowered his head as he chuckled and patted his head.

"So, don't you think it's time to fill out that question? Do you want to hear about your Elemental Mana Core...?" Vesper placed his hands in front of his chest.

As Seyric felt a warm sensation in Vesper's hands, making his mana core feel like a revolting whirlpool inside his chest, he could feel something inside him—a kind of ease that kept his

"Come for a moment," he said as Vesper continued to pace the long stretch of the hallway.

A sudden piercing shriek of a hawk was followed by a hawk flying by, flexing its talons, before it landed on Vesper's extended hand.

"Cerbius," Vesper said with a smile as Cerbius coos his head to his fingers before the hawk's eyes fixed towards Seyric's way as it shrieked as Vesper chuckled.

"Cerbius is pretty violent, but I'll keep him in check, so... Shall we...?" Vesper's hands were extended towards the door of his office.

Seyric nodded as his eyes widened when Vesper was greeted by one of the elders of the academy.

"Your Grace," the man said, bowing his head as both Seyric and Vesper. The man had the golden crest of a lion, as Seyric's eyes glanced at it.

After just a brief exchange, both of them entered his office. Vesper's hawk, Cerbius, immediately flew up to its usual stop on the wall station for its resting plank.

On the other hand, Vesper sat on the table of his office as he cleared his throat.

"Before that, let me tell you about the brief topic's on Elemental Mana Core, I believe this is thought in Star Crest Academy; I doubt that old man, Aureus, wouldn't miss having already taught you this," Vesper said as he crossed his hands.

"Anyways, there are 7 elemental mana core. Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Lightning and Dark. I believe you already know about the basic 4 elements, so I will proceed with Light, Lightning, and Dark."

Seyric was staring closely at Vesper's hand, which raised three fingers.

"Your father is a Cloudflaw. Your bloodline is relatively close to Light... Since your aunt and uncle are both working at the divine temple in Anglesia," Vesper said as his hands were placed on his chin.

"Your Grace, isn't the Priestess and my uncle the surname of Claymoon...?" Seyric asked.

"Of course, originally, Claymoon was your father's surname before some stuff happened..." Vesper fell silent for a moment and cleared his throat. "But anyway, the Priestess Keisha's maiden name was Moonlair, and both families display the strong magic of healing."

Seyric nodded while he was staring intently at Vesper as his eyes gleamed.

"Yes, my Uncle Magnus would pay me a visit whenever I felt sick and overexhausted my mana."

"Of course, now about Lightning, it's solely about manipulation of electrifying magic; it's pretty rare to have a ñightning element... As for the Dark Element, it's still not proven and it is full of theories. We have only had a few encounters with one being born with pure dark elements, but aside from that, others slowly can convert their mana core into Dark."

Especially stronger if you are previously a Light Element since your element is very pure."

Seyeic's eyes widened. "What...? Your Grace, you mean most of the Dark Elements are former Light Element magicists?"

Vesper nodded. "Right. I'm telling you these because these Elements are capable of harnessing the full potential of their power..."

Vesper sighed, stepped down from the table, and marched towards Seyric.

"You know your father was a great Paladin... He is an excellent Magicist... He works as a Royal Magicist in the capital region. And he works for me as well, just being an errand boy," Vesper laughed and patted Seyric's head.

"At birth, you were born with a Light Elemental Mana Core, and it was a B-tier type... It was pretty rare," Vesper said with a warm gaze at Seyric before he kneeled to his level.

"All that happened was just that unfortunate incident that made you lose your strength. Now I believe you're F Tier..." He sighed.

"But what sparks my interest is that your Elemental Mana Core is not normal... But the Kingdom has not yet declared it entirely as an Element... Only you have a Null Elemental Mana Core. In other words, it is Nothing or it is Nullified."

"I believe that you don't have any special elements to harness your powers... That's why it's disappointing, especially that old man at the Starling Crest Region." Vesper huffed a long sigh.

"But that's where we came in. Pursuing a class of Tamer is not easy, although owning your own beast and companions doesn't make you used to much mana... Unless you pursued another type of class type, which I had pursued in the past,"

A Beast Druid is the renowned mana exhausting class all over the region. But Tamer class only takes small portions of your mana... What comes with it is the skill of forming bonds and companionship through all races of animals or beasts."

Vesper continued to blabber more about the details of pursuing Tamer.

Not long after, dawn broke the sky.

In the southern part of the region, Anglesia lies. There was Euris wearing a cloak over his head as he bore a serious look on his face.

As he marched along the hallway of the capital's divine temple, the subjects of the temple filled out the spacious place as if it were a palace.

The rest of the priests passed in the opposite direction of Euris and only minded themselves.

Euris, who marched along the hall, held a parchment paper in his hand, where it had a golden seal with the markings of a crown.

"Brother," Magnus called.

Which prompted Euris to come to a halt and turn his head behind him.

Magnus had his eyes squinted as he stared straight into Euris eyes, with a gloomy look on his face. "Can I take up your time for a bit?"

Euris stared into his gaze for a long while and sighed.

"Fine, let's go somewhere private first."

Magnus nodded. "Thank you, brother. I am grateful."

He then gestured his hand in the hallway and led Euris deeper inside the divine temple.
