Chapter 251

Andras returned moments later in the outfit he usually wore at home, shirts and pants made from a light material. Reqiel was fast asleep when he returned, the Angel curled up on his bed, a vision against his black sheets.

He nearly gave into the temptation to rouse him, hovering over him from the fear of waking him if he reached out to touch him like he really wanted to. Andras reached out to tuck his curly locks out of his face, clenching his hand in a fist and retreating without making contact.

He would hate for Reqiel to wake up when he was about to leave, he didn't want the Angel to be stuck all alone in the dark room. So before he went off to see his parents, he found a lantern and placed it within arm's reach of the bed, in case Reqiel woke up while he was away.

The lantern seemed to make it harder for him to look at the Angel, the sole source of light in the room disconcerting despite it barely being bright enough to cast light on Reqiel's sleeping face.
