Reqiel noted that Lady Eveyn got all of the attention and he completely understood why. Lord Reuel was a surly old man who liked to act standoffish although he looked like he would like to be greeted enthusiastically as well.

"No, no, he's a noble from a distant land who has come visiting so be sure to show him the best Petal has to offer." Lady Eveyn said to the group of young women around her like she was telling them a secret.

"Would Lord Reqiel like something to drink?" One of the ladies offered, "Some rum perhaps- or wine," She corrected quickly after doing a double take at how delicate the noble looked, rum would probably kill him.
