"Peaceful life?" Max let out a deprecating smile as he looked at the Matriarch. "You might have investigated the things about me on the surface. It sure did look peaceful to you from an observer's perspective. But, if that was really peace, then I don't want peace at all. I would rather live in this chaos."

Matriarch gave Max a glance. The look in the kid's eyes said much more than it could. It seemed that he had gone through a lot in these few years of life that he had lived. And, it won't honestly be something which needed any confirmation.

A kid who was raised in a normal environment had come so far that he could literally trample everyone from the same generation as him and even challenged the ones older. There had to be something about him.

A normal life would not create such a monster for sure.
