3. Pool Day!

The text between the two black lines are NOT part of the story, it just came to me while I was writing, I am a bit sleeped deprived.

Anyway tell me what you think...Yay? Or Nay?

Also might use the black lines later for author notes, if I can't fit it in the box below they give me, or i have something to say at the beginning of the story, like now, otherwise it could break the flow of the story.

Update: I removed the black lines below, and the parts that weren't part of the story. Ive also made the first copy of this chapter an auxillary chapter, so those who want to still read it can, also didn't feel right deleting it from existence forever.

It was my fifth birthday I now knew 4 different kinds of magic, occulemency, telekinesis, 'Lumos', and 'alohomora' I also exercised my mind, magic, and body daily.

Now it was time for my plans, to improve myself even more, during my fifth year in this life, I can start with very very light weight and resistance training.

I did all my normal exercises, but now I had a half pound of weights on each arm and leg for a total of two pounds.

I still haven't learned the metric system, even though with Occulemency I could easily.

I used my joint owned house elf that reported to my parents, and they haven't said anything, although as a Lord and Lady they are kept busy with all their businesses and politics and whatever else they do, I'm not that interested...yet.

After my exercises with weights were done, I kept them on and only took them off to bathe.

Then I found some books to search for two spells that I needed, a digging spell and a water spell, I then dug small holes until I found what I needed, then filled them in.

Looking at the clay in my hand, I used my telekinesis to gather up some dirt, then I focused on the clay, I let my magic seep into and I was able to get a better sense of what it was, but this new magic sense is still new and unrefined, but then I turned to the dirt, and i focused on what I felt and sensed, then I imagined the dirt turning into clay.

After a couple tries I got it to work completely, I'm pretty sure it was so easy because clay and dirt are very similar and both part of earth, also I'm amazing, I mean I was amazing in my first life, but my second one in even more amazing with magic at my fingertips

Okay Alastair, be humble, be humble, low-key, low-key, don't get a big head, and get yourself killed later.

Okay after I cleared my head, I started to using the digging spell, I dug a 3x3x3x3x3(four sides and 3meters down) meter square. Ha! take that metric system your my b*tch now!

Once I was done with the roughly 10x10x10x10x10ft square I transfigures the edges and the bottom of the square into a meter thick clay, which is also roughly 3ft.

Damn, I'm so smart now that I know metric and standard systems of measurement, not! I just used my occulemency to recall when I looked up a side by side chart of the metric and standard system of measurement.

Right where was I, after transforming the clay, I then used the water spell to fill up the hole I dug.

After that was done I called my house elf, Patsy. "Patsy!"

*pop!*

"Master Grey, what's Patsy be doing for ya?"

Patsy popped into existence next to me.

"I need a sturdy metal sign that's 10ft tall that says 'Grey Family Pool' and bring me a waterproof rope." I told him.

"Yes, Master Grey, right away Master Grey!"

Patsy popped away, then shortly after popped back in, and gave the rope, and I had him embed the sign 3ft into the ground next to the pool.

The pool was filled and ready for use? so I tried one end of the rope to the metal sign and the other end around my waste.

Then I took off my clothes, except my underwear, then I ran towards the pool and yelled. 'CANNONBALL!!!"

I was soon submerged in water, then I kicked my feet and paddled up to the surface, my head now above the water, I took a deep breath.

'It sure is nice acting like a kid once and awhile.' I thought to myself.

Now that I was in the pool and tied to the metal sign post I started to swim, and while I was swimming, I swam in place, because I was tied to the now 7ft Pool Sign.

Anyway I started to swim as my new exercise, it's better than running, and it's easier on your body, such as your joints.

I soon finished, dried myself off, went inside, then later went to bed.

I was having wonderful dream, I was swimmimg through the clouds, and then suddenly I heard my name being said, the voice sounded familiar. "Grey, Grey! Grey!! GREY!!!"

"Ahhhh!" I woke up suddenly yelling.

"Oh, Hi Mom!" I smiled at my mother.

My mother looked at me sternly. "Don't Hi Me! What did you do to the yard!!?"

"Ohhh, that, I thought it would be nice if we had a family pool, so I built one! Your welcome! Now I'm going back to sleep."

Before I was able to plop back down on my bed, I was met with a smack to the face.

"Owww! what was that for? You hit me!"

My mother looked at me angrily. "Don't talks back to me! And of course I hit you, you dug a huge hole in the ground, and what pool? The hole is empty, just some dirt and mud, someone could have fell in and broke their neck!"

Wow mom was angry, this is a first, still can't believe she hit me, oh wait, it's the 1850's of course she hit me.

"I'm sorry mom, I didnt mean to hurt anybody, I just thought we could all enjoy a family pool, and it was full of water when I left it. Also you hit me! But I forgive you cause your my mother and I love you! I'm sorry mom!" I sniffled out doing my best to make fake tears, and quickly hugged her, so she couldn't see.

My mom quickly calmed down after hearing me sniffling, then we both apologised, said we love each other and hugged again, then we went outside to check on the pool.

Hole, I mean hole, I wondered what happened....ohhh that's it.

"Sorry again, it was pool when I left it, the clay must have turned back into dirt and the water seeped into the earth, but with Patsy's help I can fix it, and make it permanent!"

My mother glared at me. "Fine, but make a border around the pool, so people won't fall in, and just this once! If you have any more bright ideas like this, you ask me and your father first!" She told me while holding the glare.

"Ahhh! Oh well, okay then, thanks you're the bestest mom ever!!" First I acted disappointed then I turned the cuteness up to eleven, got to use it before I lose it. Then I hugged my mother, and ran off before she could say anything, good or bad.

I waited ten minutes and then came back to the pool, my mom was gone.

Whew, close one, I wiped the sweat from my forehead.

Then I called Patsy and ordered him to permanently transfigure the edges and bottom of the pool into clay, then add a thin layer of rubber and then a final layer of stone, not sure if cement is a thing yet, and I'm too lazy to use google---I mean occulemency.

I made sure to remind him to make it all permanent, then had him fill the pool with water, build a border wall around the pool and add a door and ladder on each side of the wall.

I also ordered him to add a pool ladder on each side of the pool, so people can easily climb out and in.

While he was doing that I did my morning exercise, and Patsy was done, when I got done.

I picked up 10 rocks and had him transfigure them permanently into floating water chairs, 4 for me, mom, dad, and an elf, and some extras just in case, man my house elf was making me lazy, but it's just so easy I tell him what to do and he does it, fast.

Well I will have to be careful about that, I don't want to turn into something like the majority of the lazy, fat Wizarding Sheep.

After that was done I got him to build changing screens out of hardened earth, so he didn't need to transfigure it, and it will settle into solid earth walls for privacy while changing clothes.

I took off everything but my underwear, then I looked at my elf, he was wearing a child's size butler suit. "Is that a uniform? Also it doesn't count as clothes given to you right Patsy?"

"Yes Master! Please don't give me clothes!"

My elf sobbed loudly.

"Calm down, calm down, I was making sure, because your going to need a new uniform for this next task, you need to transfigure yourself some water resistant underwear, then a water resistant suit to cover up your torso, arms and legs, but leave your hands and feet free, and do it behind the changing walls."

My elf looked confused for a second before shouting. "Yes Master Grey!"

While he was changing I tied the free end of the rope to myself and starting swimming, then I noticed a small shape near me, in my peripheral vision, it was Patsy.

I looked him over, and he seemed to get it right, he was wearing a one-piece wet-suit.

"Do you know how to swim Patsy?" I asked.

"No, Master Grey." Patsy answered.

I sighed. "Use some loose dirt to transfigure yourself two small flotation devices that wrap around your upper arms." I ordered.

He looked confused again, before quickly doing it.

I had him give them to me first to test, they worked fine, I swam up to him and had him put them back on, then wrapped a leg around a pool ladder next to me, then carefully picked him up and placed him gently in the water.

He was frozen stiff, due to fright. "Calm down Patsy, I've got you, now I'm going too loosen my hold, but not let go, you use the flotation devices to float, and use your body to balance in the water, so you remain upright, and kick your feet from time to time."

It took him a couple seconds but he started to try it, he started to tip over and panic, so I used more force to keep him upright, this repeated for awhile until he was able to float safely by himself, then I slowly taught him to doggie paddle, and other forms of swimming.

After that was done, I saw he was tired so I lifted him up on a floating chair and told him to recover his energy.

Due to my last command and teaching him how to swim, he looked at me like I was House Elf Moses, come to part the red sea and free the slaves, but nope not going to happen, but I'm sure I just got a lifelong loyal servant no matter what, he might even not tell on me anymore, I'll have to test that out later with something small.

I reminded myself to do this with all my house elves eventually.

While he was resting I called another elf, repeated the process, and has the new elf transfigure a thin ball, full of air, then I taught the two elves how to play catch, then I ordered them to rescue anyone who stays underwater for too long, unless I say otherwise.

Then I told them to go play catch on the other side of the pool, I really need to get use to house elf stares of worship.

Then I finally finished my water exercise schedule, then lay on a floating chair in the pool, and watched the house elves play catch for 10 more minutes.

With my energy recovered, I went to play catch with them for 10 more minutes, then I called for a stop, got them out of the pool, ordered them to put their butler uniforms on, then told them good night.

Honestly, I showed them a little bit of kindness, and now they worship me, oh well, that's a good thing for me. I also rembered the saying 'Treat your servants, the way you want to be treated' after all it's just common sense to be nice to your servants, so if the shoe is on the other foot, their nice to you.

Works for me though, house elves are sure are useful.
