Academy

" Dray , these are all my savings and now they are yours. Just take good care of others and I will definitely send you more money in near future ! " Raven smiled and forcefully stuffed a small bag filled with coins inside Dray's pocket .

" Raven , these are 7 gold coins ! My child , I am sure that you can use it for yourself at the Academy so.. "

" Shut up and take it already ! Old man Dray , you may not know but I will receive free tuition for the first year with free lodging and food . So I wont need the money as I will not visit shops but cultivate all the time ! "

Raven just patted Dray's old shoulders with good force and dashed away . He was not fan of tearful goodbyes at all . Money would be trifling thing for him after he starts stealing so it was only right for him to leave his little savings with his benefactors .

The Capital was huge and divided into 3 areas by huge walls . The most poor and outer part was the slums and common districts . The Innner part was for Nobles and Military while the center part of course belonged to the Royal family and the academy. Status was very important in this world and Raven was eager to obtain it . He could not enjoy technology from earth here but having money and starts was never a bad thing .

Now the people whom he envied at first , were nothing more than ants in his eyes . He did not even think to enact revenge against the young masters of small time merchant families who had made things difficult for him and slum dwellers. He could not bother with them now because his path was now destined to be worlds apart from them . Of course if they dared to still cause him trouble then Raven would gladly send them to afterlife .

Raven had no hobby to stare at ants so he hurriedly made his way towards the Academy. He naturally passed through gate walls until he reached the center area . No guards dared to make things difficult for him because even though Raven was wearing most ordinary robes but he had the badge belonging to new students of the academy . The temporary badge served as Raven's current status and it was equivalent to low Nobles of this kingdom. Even the new students had such status so one could easily imagine the status of cultivators.

The buildings were luxurious and had ancient designs but Raven had no time to admire them . The new students were quickly assembling at the huge gates which were located at the Left . So Raven immediately joined them . It was foolish to offend the academy authorities even before joining officially , just by coming late .

There were only 56 students in his new batch so after everyone was assembled , the uniforms were quickly distributed .

" Young Warriors! I'm called Elder Zhang and will be in charge of teaching you 56 for the first year . The uniforms you recieved now are a little special . They are engraved with simple protective formations and are made of parts of low level magical beasts . So treat them with care as new ones can be only bought with your own money or academy points . "

Elder Zhang was a cheerful guy so he did not bore the children with old talk . He just piqued their interest by talking about the uniforms which also aroused interest of Raven who had heard about formations for the first time .

" Elder , can I ask one question ? " Raven could not control his curiosity and blurted out subconsciously. He soon realised that he was not in college on earth and facepalmed himself . He was already ruining his own plans of acting low key while in the academy .

Just as he had expected, 20 or so rich looking guys probably nobles , looked at Raven with disdain in their eyes . Well at least Raven confirmed that these rich guys held prejudice towards poor and less knowledgable ones . Raven had prepared to become victim of bullying but now it looks like that the situation may be more severe than he had thought before .

Zhang also saw the attitude of the nobles and coldly snorted . " Its nothing wrong to ask questions here . This is an Academy and the first year will be used to teach you basics . So Raven , there is no need to be ashamed as it's fine to ask questions and I will answer the ones I can ! But let's talk from tomorrow onwards because today you guys will just be alloted to your rooms . You will be provided with books on basic cultivation so try to sense the energy during rest of the day. "

The nobles were visually maddened by Zhang's attitude so they glared at Raven with gazes filled with resentment.

Raven was older inside so he could not bother to argue with these rich and arrogant shits but it does not mean that he was not angry . Raven was just good at acting so he lowered his head as if afraid of the nobles .

' Hehe... You brats really want me to rob your families of all treasure ? Of course I'm totally fine with it ! Hmm... why wait anyway , let's do that today ! Kekekeke.." These nobles did not know what trouble they had managed to attract for their families..
