I turned from the left to the right and again, from the right to the left. The path made by the tyre had suddenly disappeared, both in front of me and behind me. There was no way to go back and no way to move forward.
I remained rooted to a spot, wondering if there was any residual information that could propel me on the way forward but there was nothing that came up in my head. There was no way I could be lost easily. I was sure I had not walked for thirty minutes.
"Hello! Anyone here?" Only the whistles from the bed were the responses I got and the breeze that moved to and fro in its normal course. "Please, anybody."
