Prologue

In a world unlike none other, there are creatures roaming here that you would only think live in your dreams… or maybe even your nightmares. In this world, you have normal human beings who possess no special abilities and are just plain Jane's so to speak. But these humans, they were not the top dogs anymore. The world was once just plain old human beings, with your occasional witch on the side, but scientists started messing with things that they shouldn't have, and disrupted the natural order of things… and then the world was thrown into chaos.

The originals were first known as skin-walkers, and they were what put the world into chaos. In the beginning, the skin-walkers couldn't control their transformations, so after they were injected with a serum that turns you into an animal, they would go berserk and attack anything and everything that they could sink their teeth into. And those who were bitten, well, not even a few days later after experiencing sweats, headaches, and a raging fever, they would then turn into a skin-walker as well. This would go on for years until it was very rare for a human to be around. But as time went on, many skin-walkers began to die as they slowly gained control of themselves. Eventually, the only skin-walkers left were those who could turn into wolves, the few humans that were still around, and then a few witches who were normal humans who had slowly adapted to using magic. But witches are even more rare than regular humans. Skin-walkers had taken over the world, but since so many had died, the world was in better condition than it used to be. The skin-walkers live in harmony, and they never have to worry a lot because all people want now is peace. But let me get a little farther down the road so we can get to the less boring stuff.

On the lands that I live on, you have six packs that have their own territories. The biggest pack is the Shadow Claw Pack, and they have over ten thousand pack members. You can easily recognize them in wolf form because they have all pure black fur. The next pack is the Blue Moon Pack, and they have about eight thousand pack members. They have a variety of grey furs, but they are also recognizable from other packs. The Silver Mist Pack has around seven thousand five hundred pack members and their fur color is white. Sometimes they can get confused if their fur gets dirty because then it's hard to tell which pack they truly are until they get washed up or at least not too dirty.

The next pack is the Scarlet Stone Pack, and they are not ones to be messed with. Out of all the packs, they are the most ruthless and the most dangerous. They have around six thousand pack members and they have russet-colored fur. If you see that kind of fur, just turn around and walk away because you don't want to enter their territory. The next pack is the Golden Fang Pack and they have around five thousand five hundred pack members. Their fur ranges between a tan color to gold. They can be a little cocky though so making conversation with them can be a little difficult sometimes. And lastly, the final pack is the Running Leaf Pack. They have around three thousand pack members and their fur is a brown color. This pack is known for keeping the peace, but I can't blame them when they can get annihilated by any other pack cause they don't have enough warriors.

Personally, I am from the Shadow Claw Pack, and this is the story of how I met my Alphas.
