14. A 10 years old girl!
Dean walked out of the house and saw Athena sitting on the chair.
He went a little closer to see her wiping her tears away... He took a deep breath as he knows that, how much weight she is taking on her heart with all. And she is just 10 years old.
She still didn't got transformed into wolf... And he should be sure and be there for her when she tranforms but he knows it will take her time and until then, he should gain her trust from her.
Athena wiped her tears away and turned around to Dean as she felt him staring at her.
She raised her eyebrows at him while Dean walked towards her and sat beside her on the other chair.
"I lost my parents... And I ran off from my pack..." Dean said making Athena frown at him.
"Because, I see there is no use to be there in that pack when I have no parents there... So, I ran off..." Dean said as he gave her a small smile.
"I don't have any idea... What happened to my parents. The pack didn't even let me see one last time... And buried them! It's been 2 months since I lost them... I was all myself... I locked up myself... But... I remember, My parents always wanted to be proud of me... And so, I want to fly... But not by getting orders from somone..." Dean said and Athena just kept staring at him as he started telling his side of story.
"It was hard... But, I can't stop myself here... I can't just think about past and feel bad... Because I need to move on. That is what, My parents always wanted. Not only them... But all parents wanted the same thing for their children. It doesn't matter if it's human or a wolf!" Dean said with a small smile on his face.
"I am sure, Your parents wanted same thing from you... Yes, It will be hard to move on... But you are here... They would have leave you and Rachel someday... Or the other day... But, they left early... Leaving all the burden on you. You are more stronger than your Elder sister. They left a responsiblity to you. That is your elder sister. She is your family. Yes, you said, you will look after her. But, you never told that, You never told that, you will take care of yourself too!" Dean said as he looked into Athena's eyes who's eyes looks golden shade with softness in her eyes as he knows that, she is thinking about the things that he is talking with her right now!
"Your parents not only love your elder sister. Not only care about her and not only wanted to feel proud on only her... But you too. They love you too. They care about you too and always wanted to feel proud on you too!" Dean said and Athena took a deep breath as he looked at Dean.
"They want you to be something in your life, so that they can be proud on you too... Not only your sister's life... But they want your life to be as beautiful as your sister that you are thinking to work hard and make your sister's life beautiful! I know that you have some other things to look after too. But, right now... You are young. Just 10. I think, you atleast need to go to school." Dean said making Athena take a deep breath.
'How will I pay the fees of the school? Mine and my sister's... Our both school fees will be too much of a burden! My sister... She can't work... She is the princess of our house. I can never let her work! I will work hard for her and earn money for her school.' Raksha replied.
"Do you think, it's easy?" Dean asked making Athena frown at him.
"Do you think it's easy to work under someone and what will you earn? You will earn nothing with your little hard work! You are so small... These humans think, you are not capable of anything seeing your age! They won't at all give you any part time jobs too! I know, you are mature enough to know about things but... These humans won't understand a power of a wolf and more over, you are inherited with power... Supernatural powers. If by mistake, any human saw you using your power... They will kill you... Kill us! They won't show any mercy on you, me... Or your sister even though, She is a human!" Dean said making Athena blink her eyes.
