Look of Desire
“Nothing…” I replied as quickly as possible.
It wasn’t just my voice that was shaking but my hands were also shaking as well. I could hardly hold a knife that way and I began wondering how I was supposed to finish cooking anything the way that I was. A sense of helplessly crept over me and I started hating myself and my lack of self-control.
“Are you sure? Your face is a little red…” Prince Leonard said as concern flooded his voice.
His hand and beautiful fingers slowly approached my face as his eyes kept on staring into mine. I knew that he was about to touch my face and I didn’t even want to think of how my body would react to him when he did. Before his beautiful fingers could reach my cheeks, I reached out and grabbed his hand in mine without thinking.
“I-I’m fine. Honestly, I’m fine…” I said in a breathless whisper that betrayed just how nervous I was feeling.
