A Desperate Move
“If you’re hungry, I can cook you something…if you want…” I offered with a smile.
With the limited resources that I had at my disposal and my lack of creative ideas, the only thing that I could come up with to comfort him was to cook for him. It had been a long while since I last did that. We used to eat the food that I cooked together quite often before I found out that he was actually the first prince of the kingdom.
“What are you trying to do?” he asked as his eyes narrowed further at me suspiciously.
“Offering to cook you some food…?” I replied hesitantly as I started to feel confused at his reaction.
The prince took in a deep breath before slowly letting it out while he kept on staring at my face. By that time, I had started to wonder if something was wrong about the offer that I had made.
“Why are you offering to come me some food?” he asked.
Because I thought that he might be hungry…not really…
