Can't take you any where

The moment we descended the stairs I could sense Finn was just outside the front door. I was a little nervous since he had not really seen me dressed up before, well this close that is. Val opened the door and walked out to Dustin with Emma close behind her. I waited a second before taking a deep breath and exiting. Finn was leaning against the wall but shot up when he saw me.

"Goddess help me." he said as his eyes flashed between his and Rainer's. "You look... You look amazing.." he walked over cupping the side of my face before leaning down and kissing me passionately.

"T..Thank you.." I said breathlessly when he pulled away.

"Are you sure we have to go? We could just....." he let his words trail off and eyes wander the length of my body.

"Remember we're on a mission handsome." I cooed, earning a gag from the group in unison.

"Come on even Val and Dustin aren't this bad." Ash said fake gaging again.

"Oh and lets see how great you are when your mates around." Finn growled playfully. "As a matter of fact lets go get her." he smiled mischievously at Ash.

Ash gulped hard but got in the large SUV ready to go see his mate. Finn laughed walking over to the passenger side seat and opening the door for me. I quickly thanked him before he ran over to the drivers side and hoped in.

"Alright guys, the road to the town is a little bumpy since we don't travel it often but its the quickest way." he said before pulling off at immense speed.

Everyone just nodded in acknowledgement, especially Ash who looked overly eager to get to his mate. Soon enough we were speeding down the old dirt path, it only took us a few minutes to cross the small bridge and enter the town. I directed him to Mel's shop, she and Sara were standing outside waiting for us as we pulled up.

"Hey! Hop in, its a little packed but you should be able to fit fine." I said as I rolled the window down.

"Awesome I'm so excited!" Mel squeaked, Sara excitedly clapped in agreeance. They to were dressed to the nines, both wore dresses that fit them just perfectly. No doubt Mel dressed them today.

Ash quickly opened the door for them, muttering an awkward hello. Mel looked like she was happy to see him to, maybe the mating pull had started to effect her. I quickly introduced them to the people they had not met yet, finishing when I got to Finn.

"Ah so this is the guy..." Mel said eyeing him up, "Hey you.." she said bluntly.

"Yeah?" he replied not bothering to take his eyes off the road.

"Don't go hurting her... Or else." she said sternly earning a laugh from all of the wolves in the car, she really had no idea just who she was talking to.

"I wouldn't dream of it." he said huskily taking my hand and kissing the back of it.

"Get a room!" Sam yelled from the very back of the car. Everyone laughed again as I turned up the music shaking my head.

We cruised around the pack lands taking the regular roads humans would normally take. I had never noticed how close they actually were to the boarder. This must be why the rouges were able to sneak in so frequently. I stared out the window as the trees turned to buildings and soon people lining the block around Et Lupum.

"Alright everyone, I got us a room upstairs but my mom said drinks are limited. Stingy I know but she did say she left a surprise up there for you Finn." Val said as we pulled up to the valet.

"Wait your mom owns this place?" Sara said eyes wide as we all got out of the car.

"Yeah, and one day so will I." she said pride bubbling up inside her.

"Lets head in." I said taking Finn's hand, once the bouncer saw Val he quickly ushered us inside earning a groan from the line of people.

"There's a lot of humans in here tonight." I linked Val, she simply nodded in agreement.

We were taken up the stairs to one of the VIP rooms, Val's mom said there was a limit on the drinks but each table in the room had a different kind of liquor on it. It was nicely decorated with the same red couches as the other one had been. I looked back on my friends realizing that this time instead of running away from my mate I want nothing more than to be running into his arms. Everyone was mingling with one another, even Sam looked like he was enjoying himself.

"I remember that night you ran." Finn said snaking his arms around my waist from behind. I looked up at him confused earning a laugh. "The night I realized you were my mate, and some weird dude was touching you right in front of me." he huffed at the thought.

"Well you are kind of scary." I poked his cheek, he looked as if I had cut him with a knife.

"Well one of us has to be." he stuck out his tongue releasing me, I just smiled at him.

We walked over to the group grabbing a drink and chatting. Sara looked like she was into Sam and poor Emma looked so uncomfortable watching them flirt right in front of her. Val and Dustin were already down stairs dancing in the crowd that had formed below. Ash looked as if he would jump off a cliff if Mel asked him to but you could see that she is starting to care for him. Finn linked me saying I told you so as he watched them talk.

Soon enough we had all joined Val and Dustin in the swaying crowed. Finn stayed protectively behind me as I danced. It felt amazing to let go and unwind, it was a much needed break with everything going on. Everyone drinking and dancing, I could have swore at one point I seen the timid Sara making out with Sam on the dance floor. Finn just shook his head, but soon enough even he was dancing with me.

"This place is amazing!" Mel yelled over the pounding bass.

"I know right! Val's mom knows how to have fun! You should see her events!" I joked, although soon enough she would be introduced to our world.

"I hope to see it one day! And OMG I think your friend is into me." she pointed her nose over to Ash who was returning with a new drink for both of them.

"You have no idea." I laughed, "I think he may have said something about love at first sight after we left your store.." I laughed, her face turned an even darker red than it was from the dancing.

"R.. really?" she said fighting what I knew was going to be a ear to ear smile. I just nodded as he returned back to her side.

I turned back to Finn who was now standing with his hands held up and a group of girls surrounding him. Fallon growled just seeing them swarm him but I kept my composure I could tell that they were humans. I pushed my way through them wrapping my arms around his neck. He looked relived and dropped his arms placing them on my side.

"Hi baby." he said with a smile, the group groaned something about all the good ones being taken before dispersing. "That was very tame of you." he laughed.

"Fallon on the other hand was not so kind. If they only knew what she was saying." I shook my head, if she had her way we would have tossed them across the building.

"I'm only yours mate." he leaned down and whispered into my ear.

"And I'm only yours." I whispered back giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be right back okay." I said before heading towards the bathroom.

After I was finished I started to wash my hands when someone came in. I didn't pay them any attention until I realized I recognized the person in the bathroom with me. That blonde b*tch Jess who I had caught with Finn. I quickly dried my hands and turned to face her.

"What do you want." I asked her bluntly, I had no time for her remarks today.

"What I've always wanted." she said plainly, "For all of you filthy mongrels' to die." she finished by laughing manically.

"What?" I asked dumbfounded, I thought she had just wanted to be luna or even just Finn.

"You know it really is too easy, toying with you." she laughed again.

"What do you mean? Jess your one of us.." that earned another laugh from her.

Slowly she lifted her hands to her face. As her hands passed over her face her features changed. Except this time she turned into Emma.

"Getting you to trust me was even easier. Letting me into your little group was a big mistake." she laughed again but this time as she did the lights in the bathroom began to flicker.

"Emma, Finn is your cousin why.. Just why?" I asked, the killing intent was wafting off of her. I tried to look for an escape but she had me cornered since she was in front of the door.

"You all really are stupid." she said and slowly started raising her hands in the same fashion as before.

This time instead of stopping on her face she continued down her hair turning it from the pale blonde to raven black. Her black eyes stared directly into my soul, it was the woman from the craft store. I started to panic remembering the pain I was in the last time she had shown up. A evil smile spread across her face when she noticed it. The lights started to flicker again some bulbs even blew making the room even more dimly lit.

"You remember me, good. We can do this the easy way or.. we can do this the fun way." a wave of the intent smacked me, it felt like a heavy smog clouding the small room.

"D..Do what?" I asked, Fallon coming to the surface heightening my senses.

"No no no sweetie. Down dog or I'll sever your connection for good." she said raising her hand at us. With that Fallon went back to where she resided growling at the threat. "Now than, lets go." as she said that black dots danced across my vison until it all went black.

I couldn't see or move but I could still hear everything going on around me. Soon two more people walked in the smell of silver coming off of them made me want to gag, if only I were able to. One picked me up throwing me over his shoulder so roughly that he knocked the air out of my lungs. We moved to what I knew would be the back of the club, its normally where most of the staff has their brakes, Val had showed it to me one time when we were here with her mom. Soon enough we were out the back door moving fast.

"Throw her in the back and see if we can't get a few of them while we're here." she called out to someone.

The panic in me started to rise, they were going to attack Finn and the others. I tried to link them but it was almost like there was a wall blocking my connection. Since that wasn't working I did the only other thing I could. Try to move my body.

"Oh I see you chose the Fun way." she laughed, as soon as she finished the pain started just like before.

This time it tore though me worse than ever before, and only for a split second I could hear Finn's voice in my head before passing out.

"Oh dear child, what have you done." a familiar voice rang out in the darkness.

"M..Moon Goddess?" I asked, I knew I was in the back of the car but the pain had stopped.

"Yes dear," she said as she appeared in the darkness. Her features appeared younger than the last time I had saw her. "Welcome to my domain. I figured it would be better than the agony your body is currently in." she shook her head, her pale white hair fell to frame her slim face.

"What about Fallon?" I said worried that she may feel it too.

"Right here." she said nuzzling into my side, I put my arm around her happy to be able to hug her.

"Thank you goddess, I... I don't know what happened. I thought she was a friend." I said as the tears started to well up in my eyes.

"She is a powerful witch even I was blind to her movements, do not worry child. Your destiny has arrived a little earlier than expected. With this I will bestow another gift to you. Since your already in physical pain it should pass easily." she said as she walked over and cupped the side of my face.

"Will you tell me what it is this time?" I asked nervously.

"It is something that you will need to survive this.. I gift you a connection to my domain. You are able to visit freely. Just know if you ever come here physically that when you exit you will still be exiting in the same place you entered." she moved a stray piece of hair from my face.

"Moon goddess thank you for everything.. Would it be to much to ask for one more thing?" I asked shyly, she simply nodded with a light smile in response. "Is Finn okay? I heard them talking about hurting my friends." I looked down at Fallon who was just as worried as I was about them.

"They are fine dear, I put a little extra in while making your mate. He is stronger than you think." she smiled brightly at her work, "You must go back now or else she'll realize you are not there. Just think the thought and you'll return."

With that she disappeared into the darkness taking all of the light with her. I gave Fallon a quick hug before thinking the thought. When I returned to my body the pain was gone but my vision stayed blacked out.

"Throw her in the cell and call a meeting." she said as the car stopped.

Once again I was moved. This time at the end of it my head hit something cold and hard. With that my vision slowly returned to me. They had me in a dark, damp cellar that reeked of rouges. The cell had a small cot that had a huge hole ripped in the middle making it practically useless. On the other side it was a small bucket, I hoped they did not expect me to use as a toilet.

I guess this would be home until I figure out how to escape.
