Chapter 31: Stella Decides

Stella woke the next morning feeling confident she’d done the right thing. Sending Bennett home, the night before. Instead of inviting him in, like he’d asked her to.

While spending any night with Bennett was enjoyable. Mind blowing even. She needed to take time to decide for herself how she was going to deal with it all.

She needed some alone time. To clear her head. She was at risk of being killed all on account of being saved. Of seeing some things, she was never meant to see.

If not for that wrong time, wrong place, her life would not have changed at all.

She wasn’t used to all the life and death events of the previous few days. She wanted to get away and hide from it all.

That’s why she left her house, drove through the woods, to stay at this hunting cabin.
