Chapter 17

The party resumed as soon as Alpha Adolphus and Luna Daenarys were out of their sights already. The King asked his organizers to keep the guests entertained and pretend that the commotion earlier did not happen at all. He then turned his attention toward Alpha Conri and Cailean who had been following him since their encounter earlier.

King Lloyd took a good look at the Alpha and nodded as he lightly massaged his chin, "You are really looking good for tonight, Conri," he complimented him and then turned to the blind Cailean. She does not know what to feel about the king for he is too calm with his pulse and his voice is too soothing for the ears. It was as if he and Leikos could get along together and have a discussion all day.

"You have brought a date, I see," he said and smiled at Cailean. She does not know the gesture, yet she bowed down slightly for a greeting that made King Lloyd laugh, "Oh no, there is no need for that kind of greeting. It only exists in movies."
