　　Devin's disclosure had the hall thrown in disarray as the conflicted audience skyrocketed. Everyone with a purpose for reacting the way they did.

　　Like the Elders wanting to have Reagan under their control, many she-wolfs dreamt of becoming his Queen. As such, none were joyful or willing to give Reagan up or lose their future position to another female. To top that up, she was an enemy. And now that Devin seemed to hold the key to breaking the arrangement, their hopes were picked up again.

　　Council members might appear united and in cahoots with the alignment, but most of the Duminstian Elders with daughters had other aims. Preferably, each would have their daughter take Elana's position. The only thing they had in common was the desire to possess Reagan—their thirst for power.
