This was very different from the banquet she imagined they will welcome her to.

She had not really expected the banquet since she left but this was not the way they should receive her back.

She might have made a mistake in her plans and ruined everything but she should still not be accused of running away with another man.

What man has she ever related with other than her uncle who was the king seated on his throne and unwilling to give her an explanation that she could run away with?

She felt injustice and fatigue as she stared at them. She might have recovered from the sickness and all but she felt weaker than her usual self.

She was not even offered a seat. This is a very inproper way for her to be treated.

Do they really expect her to accept it all in humility like a proper lady when she was not even trained to be one?

"I am really tired," she said tiredly as she yawned and blinked her eyes afterwards as though trying to stay awake.

The elders whispered among themselves of how disrespectful she was towards the king and their presence and unwillingness to give even her fiancé and explanation.

No one spoke to her directly since the king had not said anything yet.

Her uncle watched her for a few seconds and moved his gaze to the elders. He did not want anyone to know what he sent her away to do.

"I need to rest. You should excuse. After resting, you could come over and asking me any question you have for me," she told them seriously.

She turned and walked out of the throne room. Surprisingly, no one made an attempt to stop her.

The king felt like her anger was directed to him as he exhaled tiredly. He could not believe that she had just spoken to him that way.

He was not angry with her because of the way she spoke but because of the outcome of the mission he had prepared her for through all her childhood.

"I will excuse myself to rest too, your majesty," the Duke suddenly spoke from where he stood unattended to.

No one answered him as he walked out of the throne room. A lot of the elders were imagining what they would have done to Aurora if she was their fiancee.

They swore that they will punish her without pity and they will make sure she marry the poorest servant in their house.

They could only feel that it was a pity that the Duke was so much in love that he had lost his rationality.

The king wanted to scold her but he also heard from the sorcerer who arrived much earlier than he did that Aurora was actually very ill that she almost lost her life.

He knew she was the only one who could make his dream come through by killing the Alpha King who was his only obstacle.

He will have to prepare her more for the future. She was not done until he sees the body of the Alpha king and burns it with his own hands.

"I will hear her explanation first."

"That is against our tradition, your majesty, she is supposed to be sent to the Duke's family immediately," an elder pleaded on behalf of the Duke.

"I will have to think carefully before making such decision. No matter what she might have done, she is still a member of the Royal family and our dignity much be protected," he replied coldly.

The man heard the coldness in the king's voice and he could not help but take it as a warning that he should not try to dictate his rulership.

The man immediately understood and bowed his head and tried to reduce his existence to appease the king.

"Forgive me for speaking out of place," the man apologized with a bow.

The king sighed as he stood up without accepting the man's apology as he walked out of the throne room.

He was right now having serious head ache over everything. It was not easy at all.

If only Aurora had not made a mistake over the mission, he would have not been worried because she won't be able to return and making him bothered about satisfying people's curiosity.

"Invite the princess over for dinner in my chamber," he ordered his personal attendant before entering his study and closing it behind him with a loud thud.

Everything he spent years preparing and planning for got ruined because Aurora could not wait for only a few hours more before stabbing him.

He had no idea about what made her impatient. He spent years training her to be a very disciplined woman but she disappointed him beyond imagination.

He hit his fist on the large table with a groan.

From what he found out from his brother-in-law, it will not be easy for him to control her with many guards and soldiers if she loses her mind again.

That was the reason he let her go to rest. He did not get angry because she was on her right as someone tired from a long journey and still recuperating.

He had to be careful. She has not exploded in a while and from what his brother-in-law narrated, he knew her powers was not under control.

He will have to find a way to keep her relaxed until the sorcerer returns with the needed herbs for a concoction to put her under control.

Being left with such unpredictable weapon was something he did not want.

He sat down behind his table and read through the letters he got from a spy he planted in the Alpha King's palace.

It seems the Alpha did not care much that she was his mate. He was still enjoying long nights with different ladies.

This made him a little confused considering the fact that someone as powerful as the Alpha should be coming for Aurora's head if he is not coming to claim his mate.

From the information that the Alpha took days to heal which is very much out of his healing abilities, he knew that Aurora was really connected to him in some ways.

He will have to find out because right now, the sea was too calm that he found it unreal.
