Back at Wonder woman, I tried focusing on my work, but my mind still flashes back to that night with the King.

I can't believe I really had sex with a Royal King.

I know he wasn't a one woman type of man, but I still wondered what he saw in me that got him attracted to me.

Since the day I went to his company, he had always been on my mind, even though I kept denying it.

I'm sure he's forgotten me since it was just a night stand and based on his reputation in the society. He never cares for a lady after bedding her a night.

I have to stop thinking about him, his kisses, and the sex.

This is insane, not at work."

Why can't I just forget about him, it's so strange I could heal so easily from my heartbreak but very hard to stop my heart from beating so fast whenever I think about him.

Sometimes I dream about him and that night.

Becca called me everyday just to know how I was feeling, for she thinks I might still be heartbroken over Jack, but the reverse is the case.

I never thought about Jack ever since the day he broke up with me, rather I can't stop thinking about someone else.

I couldn't tell my best friend about the King or what we did. She would scream like hell and I don't know what opinion she would have about me.

She might think am a whore if she knew.

My night will Damon will be kept a secret until my dying day, I suppose.

Sarah was always smiling and constantly on the phone since we came.

I suspect she must have gotten a boyfriend, but its strange how she could hide that fact from me considering the fact that she was a blabbermouth.

Mrs Charlotte came to my office unknowing to me as I was so lost in thoughts.

"Mona, are you okay?, you seemed to be so lost in thoughts."

"I'm okay, Mrs Charlotte."

"Lest I forget, Mrs Kelly will like to have a word with you in her office and I'm sure it's something very urgent as she requests your presence as soon as possible."

What could Mrs Kelly want to talk about that is so urgent?

"Okay I will be right there."

"And Mona, don't worry your head too much. If you need someone to talk to, you can always come to me, okay?"

"Thank you very much Mrs Charlotte, you are so nice", I said, giving her a hug.

"You are welcome my dear, now run along."

I quickly headed to Mrs Kelly's office.

On my way to the office, I kept thinking about how lucky I was that Mrs Charlotte was my coach.

She's always so nice to everyone, specially those employees she coaches.

When I got to the CEO, I found her reading a note on her desk through a transparent window.

I knocked at the office door.

"You may come in, Mona."

I was shocked she knew I was the one at the door. Maybe she saw me through the window unknowingly to me.

She smiled brightly upon seeing me.

"Have a sit Mona, there's something I would really want to talk to you about.

You know why I called you, Mona?"

"No ma'am." I was feeling anxious now.

"You are lucky for you will be transferred soon."

My heart sank, I know transfer was something good but why now, when I was already getting used to the company."

"May I ask where I will be transferred to ma'am?"

"I think in Royal Alpha Damon's company."

Holy shit! Did I just hear her right, I will be transferred to that company?

No way!

"I'm sorry ma'am, can I perhaps decline the transfer? I know it's a good thing to be in a well-known company but I can't ma'am."

Mrs Kelly raised an eyebrow as to why Mona refused to be transferred.

Mrs Kelly is a werewolf too so she knows the royal family very well.

The Alpha told her himself to send Mona to his company, and she can't refuse her King even though she really wanted Mona to stay in her company.

"May I perhaps know why you are refusing to go to the company? Besides it will be better if you are there. They will pay you higher as he has offered to pay twice as much as you are being paid over here."

Mona's brow twitched at this statement.

Okay, she really needs money for her parents' upkeep specially now that Mark will be in college soon. They need lots of financial help, and she has been worrying about how to get the money.

Should i go, knowing Damon might just want to bed me again?

Now I'm very confused on what to do.

"Mona, I'm still waiting for your response."

Gosh, I've totally forgotten Mrs Kelly was waiting for a reply from me.

"I will think about it ma'am. I will come by tomorrow to give you my answer."

"Good Mona. Perfect.

Alright, I will be waiting then."

How frustrating life could be when you can't get what you wish for, but rather given what you never wanted to have.

I thought about it all through the night, the next morning was weekend and I had no work to go to.

So, I told my parents about me being transferred to another company out of tge country. I assured them thst I would be coming ti see them during my offs, so they wouldn't miss me too much.

I also told them how I will be paid better than where I worked.

But I never told them about Jack's breakup or what happened between the King and I.

I didn't tell my friend Becca also for I know she would be very worried just like my parents will be.

"Mona, you don't have to go anywhere, we need you here with us. It's okay if you work here, going to work another country is too far away from home. How do we get to see you if we wanted to?"

My Dad was very worried just as my Mom was, but I have to make up my mind.

I will find a way to deal with Damon before anything else.

I will let him know, the only way I will accept working for him is if he does not dream of ever touching me again.

The next morning, I was surprised to see Sarah so excited as well.

"Mona, finally we will be going back to our dream world."

I don't understand what Sarah was talking about. What does she mean by dream world?

"What dream world are you talking about?"

"I heard you will be transferred to the North, to Damon's company, luckily I will be transferred too."

Oh my God, this is like a dream come true. So, I will be going with someone very close and it's Sarah at that.

I can't be more happy. We both went to Mrs Kelly together, letting her know we have accepted her decision.

Meanwhile, Sarah informed Patrick they had already accepted to be transferred, so they will be coming soon.

Mrs Kelly informed Royal Alpha Damon she has agreed to her coming too.

Mona decided to go pack her things for her travel, as she loved to be punctual in her work.

Having sex with the King doesn't give her the right to lazy about or become disobedient.

He was still King and she a mere citizen of the society.
