Chapter1:The ball.
THIRD POV
It was the day of the ball and many packs around the world was ready each person eager for their daughter to be the choosen one the one the Alpha lycan king would choose.
Girls got ready in their finest attire and glamoured to impress, one girl didn't feel so. Ruby didn't see the need to dress up all fancy and go watch her suppose mate who doesn't know they are mates pick other women.
she simply could not deny that a part of her felt bitter and her lycan had been distant,her vampire too was being too hotheaded and needed blood while her witch is just plain sad.her demon though was the worst.
"Urghh I hate this,I am doing this for you guys"she says but a small part knew it was also for herself and though she wasn't weakened she did not like the idea of parts of her being disorganized.
Getting ready in a red fiery dress that looked more attractive on her fair body,it hugged all her curves making her already large hips look larger and breast firmer. the dress has a slit on one side for easy movement and also a little v neck exposing just enough cleavage and a deep back. pairing her dress with silver coloured heels and a red clutch with diamonds she does her makeup.
A smokey eye design with the signature red lipstick that made her lips look plumper. her hair is styled to the side.
she rushes downstairs and is glad to see that her aunt had already left with her kids running to her room she mutters a small spell and she suddenly appears in a dark place in the pack house where the ball is being held.
walking into the ball she looks around the place her eyes searching for a certain someone and when their eyes meet the breath is knockerd out of her.
he looked ravishing,delicious,devlishly handsome in a three piece all black tuxedo paired with italian dress shoes, his black hair combed and gelled back to perfextion with only a few strands framing his long thick beautiful lashes. God he looked like walking sin.
Going to walk towards him she suddenly crashes into a girl.
"I-I am so sorry miss"A tiny timid voice says and she raises her head and meets the eyes of a girl that looked just about 20. Red hair,beautiful green eyes and cute frickles spread on her nose barely noticeable.
"I am sorry miss"she repeats not making eye contact with Ruby with a faint blush on her tan skin. wearing a beautiful emerald coloured dress.
"Oh no problem"Ruby replied not offended by the girl as she too was distracted just now.
walking away she is suddenly stopped by a hand on her arms turning around ready to scold the person she is met with the girls frightened gaze.
"Sorry to stop you. I am mirabella"she introduced herself a small smile on her face.
confused Ruby nods her head intending on walking away till Mirabella'd smile fell.
'urghh now I have to be nice' she grumbled.
'Niceness won't cost you Ruby' Alarica finally spoke after days of just being quiet in her head.
'finally' Ruby huffs really happy her lycan is alright.
"Ruby"she introduces herself.
"That's a nice name,can I call you R"She smiles widely which soon falls as she puts on a nervous face.
"I-I am sorry you are just really be-autiful and I want to be your friend"She says hoping to finally be friends with Ruby.
"ok Mirabella,we are friends"Ruby replies dryly though internally happy to have made a friend besides the girl is cute.
"call me mira"Mirabella says while holding her hands. Before either of them could continue they are interrupted when the announcement for the names chosen by the king comes out and when they start calling the name every girl holds their breath.
"Ladies may I have your attention please,the lucky girls choosen for the substitute of queen has been chosen and only five get to go to the palace and stay for three weeks where the king will declare the queen of lycans and wolves.its sad some will be going home today but I pray you all find your fated mates now the names are .....Casey gilman,judith apolo,Anastasia grey, Mirabella hays and the last chosen female is ehn a Ruby?"He finishes looking confused as Ruby's name has no last name attached.
one by one the ladies selected walked upto the stage while Ruby stood there.
Jealousy,happiness,anger,fear and uncertainity running through her for the first time in decades.
jealous because her mate choose other females
happy because she is one of them
anger because she is happy to be choosen
fear not to be discovered
and uncertain about what was to happen next.
she turns around feeling a heated stare on her back and at that moment she locks eyes with Alexander who has the biggest smirk on his face while staring at her with a challenging gaze.
