Chapter 38 :Confused

 PRESENT DAY END OF FLASHBACK

 ''Ruby''Vladimir calls out toRuby who seems to have zoomed out completely,she does not reply and he places his hands on her shoulder and she snaps back to reality.

 ''Ruby''Vladimir calls out again his tone filled with worry and it is shown in his eyes.

 ''Hmm''Ruby answers a smile on her face, she looks at vladimir before shaking her head at him to reassure him she is alright.

 ''I am fine vlad''Ruby assures and vladimir still looks unconvinced which makes a short laugh to escape her lips.

 Raising his hand she places it on her chest right above her heart.

 ''I assure you vlad''She tells him softly truly meaning it.

 Vad nods ans raises his hands to tuck back a strand of hair that fell on her face.

 ''You don't have t-''Vladimir is about to tell her she doesn't have to meet Alexander and his bride if she is uncomfortable.

 He is cut off by the guards appearing abd with two figures behind them.

 That is the scene Alexander and the others see when they walk in,Vladimir's habd on her chest and the other holding hers.

 At the sight of judith and Alexander,Ruby turns to look at them properly and a small smile graces her lips before she turns to nod at Vladimir who nods back at her.

 ''Your highness the Alpha lycan king and queen''The guard introduces with a bow and a small almost none existent pain appears in Ruby's heart before it disappears.

 They step forward towards them and Vladimir wraps his arms around Ruby's waist protectively,Alexander's gaze moves to the hand and a cold look appears in his eyes.

 ''Welcome Alpha lycan king and- queen'' Ruby greets and pauses before saying the words queen which makes Judiths eyebrows to crease in annoyance.

 ''Thank you for receiving us on such short notice Vladimir''Alexander says in his deep voice sounding emotionless and cold.

 ''Why are you here Alexander''Vladimir spits out clearly irritated at the sight of Alexander.

  His anger fueled more when he glanced at the vulture in his arms.

 ''I believe she has something that belongs to me''Alexander turns and glares at Ruby who smiles an earily and innocent smile.

 ''And what is that''Ruby asks and the sweet smile remains on her face which makes Vladimir chuckle.

''You seem to be having a problem with remembering Ruby,Maybe I should remind you of that night''Alexander says a cocky smile plastered on his face.

  Judith immediately glares at Ruby at the mention of a night.

 ''Well Alpha I have no problem,the only problem here is that it seems like your ego is bigger than your dick''Ruby finishes and Zach who is standing in the corner bursts oyt laughing but quickly stops when Althea hits the back of his head.

 Alexander's smirk falls off his face and he lets out a growl.

 They could feel anger rolling off in waves from his body and a satisfied smirk shows on Ruby's lips and she walks back towards Vladimir who again wraps his arms around her waist a satisfied look on his face.
