chapter 2:The palace

 Getting on the stage with the other four girls making us four in total,I was internally fuming.

'it's ok Ruby' Angel says and I just sigh.

"So ladies and gentlemen these are the lucky choosen ones, please enjoy your night"the man with the mic says.

 looking down I catch the eyes of my aunt and her daughter glaring at me and I smiled.muttering a small spell under my breath I watch how her daughter starts moving scratching all around her body.

'serves her right'

soon people notice it and even aunt starts moving away from her causing a grin to spill out of my face.

 "You don't seem happy to be chosen"A girl standing close to me says and I turn meeting eyes with a pair of honey brown eyes.

 "You don't seem so yourself"I answered while reading her mind she is sad.

 "Well I was hoping to find my mate not being in a loveless relationship"she answers and I understood her.

 mates were fated and are the only ones capable of loving you unconditionally.

 I just nod at that knowing we are in the opposite boats.

 "Anatasia,Ana for short'' she says while streching out her hands.

 "Ruby"I reply. seems I will be making a lot of friends.

 "Oh this is my friend Mira,Mira meet Ruby"she introduces while dragging mira towards us.

 "oh we already met"I smile at her. what a coincidence they are friends.

 "Move bitch"the girl close to Mira says and pushes her harshly making her trip,she was about to fall till I stretched out holding her arms.

 "Th-Thank you Ruby"she smiles while thanking me with a slight blush on her cheeks.

 "Now you watch were you are going bitch"I spit out to the bitch who almost tripped her.

 she is lucky we are in a public place I would have torn her limb by limb.

 "What did you say"The bitch asks staring at me trying to seem intimidating but she just looks like a hyena in heat.

 Rolling my eyes I look her dead in the eyes and she squirms slightly.

 "guess you are deaf huh"I ask and Ana lets out a snort but quickly covers her mouth to stop the laugh.

 "Please Ruby let's go"Mira says while dragging I and Ana away I continue glaring at that idiot and a brilliant idea strikes me.

 staring at the waiter passing by I mutter a little spell and he almost trips causing all the drinks to spill on the hyena's dress drenching her.

 smirking slowly I cover my ears from how loud she screams and storms off.

 Walking Away from the girls I excuse myself and walk towards the table filled with food.

 "This one looks so delicious"I say while cutting a slice of cake,I am suddenly cute off when I catch a pair of grey eyes starring at me looking up I see Alexander standing besides me with his beta Nicholas Andrews.

 I repeat I know about all the kings,queens and their followers.

 Starring right at his eyes I flick him the middle finger and watch how his jaw tightens.

'that was hot'

 The beta starts laughing and looks at us amused.

 "Aren't you a fierce one"He smilres cheekily his green eyes sparkling softly while his brown curls fall on his head,a sharp jawline and straight nose paired with a pair of thin lips.

 I glare at him and resume eating my food but he interrupt me again.

"I am Nicholas the royal beta"He introduces and I roll my eyes and start eating.

"well I thin-"He starts saying but I cut him off by throwing the spoon at him.

"Oww"

"Interrupt me again and I'll stick that spoon up your ass"I tell him threaningly while looking at him to make sure he gets the hint.

'I don't joke with my food'

"I-I apologize"he answers with widened eyes.

I was about to say something till Mira and Ana walked closer to me but Ana suddenly pauses and so does Nicholas and they both utter the word.

 "MATE"
