Chapter 47

Camryn's POV

My hands are sweaty as I stepped foot down the dungeon. The eerie feeling of knowing I'm here brings back so many unbearable memories but I kept my head on passing at the guards. Their faces were stunned and worried looking at me as to why I am there. I gulped down the nervousness forming in my stomach. The guard at the entrance was hard at first not to let me in. I had to use the power of my wolf's authority over them just to let me through.

And now I am walking my way through her cell.

But then I stopped when I passed one of the cells. The hairs on my back stood on end and I glanced toward the cell and I gasped.

I remembered the first time I stepped foot in here and remembered I had done something to the rogues.

They are all kneeling.

"All hail to our Luna Queen," they all said in unison "We pledged our life to protect and served our Queen."

"All hail to the Luna Queen"

They all said. Feeling their genuine hearts as they said those words. My feet were backed away from the cell, and my knees were shaking as their emotions poured out on me. I held my breath not wanting to break down for the overwhelming sensations of their hearts and their wolfs submitting to me.

"Witness with your own eyes Camryn what power we had done over them," my wolf said with pride in her voice.

My eyes watered seeing them all bowing down to me. Their wolves howl inside my head, feeling the connection of the bond I now have with them.

The guards around were startled at the rogues but they kept their eyes down and were all just silent not wanting to intervene. My wolf surfaced making its presence known to the guards and the rogues. Felt her pride and pride in herself that we had done something undeniably that no one had ever done.

"Okay, wolf stop now. I don't want them to overthink! That we're only using our power over them!"

My wolf scowls at me and then returns inside me.

I calm my heart before facing the rogues.

"Please, stand. You don't all have to do this" My lips were quivering as I talk to them.

They all look up to me still kneeling. Their faces held full of emotions.

"We will be forever grateful and will never be shame nor stop to praise you. Our devotion lies with you and only you our Luna Queen" said the rogue whose at the center.

"You don't know how we are grateful. Our lives are forever on your debt, we will serve you and do all that you wish" said the other one next to him.

Then another rogue at the back spoke "You had made our hearts pure and take out all the darkness in us. You had opened our minds and hearts to feel pure and genuine love and for that, we will be your servant and your warriors whom you could trust and do all that you want us to do."

I am speechless by their words.

Right now, I don't know what to say. What they have just all said was still processing inside my brain.

"If you need anything, we are all just here, our Queen."

Then they all stood up and return to their places inside the cell.

Letting out a shaky breath, I turned on my hill and started to take a step towards the wolf whom I needed to see. With my head still dazed, I kept on as I make my way to her.

"Relax. Breath." I said to myself.

I was still stunned by the rogues and it left me nervous and worried to face Denise.

But I have to do this. I have to see her and talk to her about the pup.

The pup needs her.

Taking one last deep breathed as I took one last step and stopped at her cell.

I don't need anyone to guide me or lead me to her cell for I can sense where she is. I can feel her heart disturbances, her pains, and the darkness lingering in the air.

A guard is standing just beside the cell and I motion at him for him to open it. Without any hesitation, he pulled out the keys in his pocket and open it. He stepped aside, his eyes cast down as I make my way inside.

I was relieved knowing that he didn't question me and stopped me to be inside.

"Good wolf," said my wolf.

I shake my head at her feeling that she's the reason why the guard didn't stop us.

And now, I keep my eyes in front of me as I walk inside the cell.

My eyes widen when I saw her. My hands instantly went up to cover my mouth in shock.

Denise is on the wall. All chained up. Her hands, feet even her neck we're chained to the wall. She was covered in blood and bruises all over her body.

"What have they done?" I said.

Denise's eyes look up and saw me standing in front of her. Her eyes began to water but then they dim and sharp while looking at me.

"What are you doing here?" She said.

Her voice reach my ears and made me want to get away from her. Her face looks tired and torn but the dark aura hovering over her was contorted with pain and anger.

Then she laughed. That laughed again.

She's already losing her mind.

I need to act fast! Or it might be too late to save her!

"Guard!" I shouted.

Then the guard walk inside and stopped beside me.

"What is it my Luna?"

There was a pinch in my heart hearing what he said.

Luna.

And didn't say, Queen.

This guard hadn't and still doesn't want me to address as his Queen.

I gripped my hands at my side and push away this feeling of hurt.

It's not the time for me to think about this!

"Unchained her," I coldly said to the guard.

"But--"

"Now!" I roared.

I had never let my voice be like this. Full of authority and anger.

I had never felt like this.

The guard instantly went to unchain Denise. His hands were shaking while unlocking the chains from Denise's hands and feet. And lastly her neck.

"You may leave," I said to him once he had done releasing Denise.

On the other hand, Denise slumps down on the floor holding her neck. Trying to ease the pain.

The guard bowed down to me before walking out.

I held my breath while he walk away.

Once he's gone, I focus my attention on Denise.

"Now what?!" She angrily spat "You ordered to release me for what? Are you going to beat me huh? And punish me!"

My heart aches for her.

"So that you can revenge on what I did to you!"

I slowly shake my head at her while the tears she was been holding stream down her face.

"What are you waiting for? Go on! Beat me! Kill me as I had killed you!" She yelled. Her voice we're hoarse and rough echoing on the cell.

She was full of anger, hatred fear, and pain.

Closing my eyes. I called upon the power deep within my heart as my wolf surfaced.

The tingling sensation started to ignite in my chest and rolls down to my feet up to my arms and all of me.

Her pains. Her sadness. The tortured pain she was in knowing that her mate is gone forever.

My heart can't bear to see her like this. To feel all her heartaches.

"What is happening to you?" I hear her say.

I opened my eyes and started to take a step towards her.

"No! Don't!"

She holds her arms embracing herself and yelling at me to not come near her. She look terrified while looking at me.

I know. For I do look terrifying. I am covered in light, I felt my crisis are all white as my wolf surfaced.

I smiled at her.

I stopped just in front of her and kneeled to her level. And then I reach my hands to hold her.

"What are you doing?"

She was horrified and scared but I kept reaching to touch her. She scurried herself as if she can get away from me.

I reach for her hands and hold them gently and that's when her eyes light up and stunned. Slowly she gives in for me to hold her hand.

The warmth of the light that surrounds me is now also wrapping her. Her breathing slowed down as her heart calm down.

I hold her hand with both of my hands and smiled at her.

She swallowed hard as she kept staring at me confusingly.

The light kept spreading to her, in every part of her body, especially unto her heart. As the warmth of it spread to her, my heart poured out to her to reach her heart. To ease all the pain. To mend her heart. The light will spread inside her, taking out the darkness. Showing the light to her heart. To be in the light. That there is hope and a reason to be happy out of all the hurt and suffering.

She closed her eyes as she now slowly feel the light igniting inside her. She hold on tightly against my hands and I didn't let go of her. Her eyes were tightly closed as her tears poured out.

And once it was all done. The light slowly faded and my eyes went back to normal.

I can hear her heartbeat. Beating calmly and peacefully. With no darkness and disturbances.

And then I let go of her and wait for her to open her eyes.

As she opens her eyes, she looks at me now differently.

"What did you do? How? What is this?" Her face is no longer contorted in pain, the darkness that surrounds her earlier is now gone.

I just shrugged my shoulders in response to her question.

"Why?" She then asks amusingly.

"There is no why. We all deserved to be free and to be happy" I simply answered.

"You had been through a lot. Much worst than I had been but then you still have the heart to give yourself to help me?" Her tears kept pouring down her face.

I wiped her tears and just smiled at her in response.

"I had done a horrible and unforgivable sin to you but why? Why are you helping me?"

I heaved out a sigh.

"If someone had done bad things to you it doesn't mean you have to always revenge back or to also do bad things towards them. But instead show them how to be a good example, to be a good one for them to follow."

"You are a true Luna. Our true Queen" she then said breathlessly.

"Thank you for doing this to me. I am only a no-one and a criminal but to you, you had made me more than I have to be. I will be forever grateful and my life is forever on your debt."

And then the next thing she did was she bent down, her face facing down the floor bowing lowly at me.

I gasped at her words as it was the exact words that the rogues had said.

"All hail to our Luna Queen" she then said.

"Please, you don't have--"

"Let me do this my Luna Queen. This is the only way I can repay what you did for me" her voice was pleading "And as to your kindness and for your heart to save me from all the pains I was in, I would be honored to serve you fully. I pledged to be true and loyal to my Luna Queen."

My hands were trembling as I reached to her and touch her head. She looks up with tears still streaming down her eyes.

I pulled her next to me to wrap her in a warm embrace.

And then I cried.

We both cried.

I don't know that I had this power within me to do this kind of thing. I don't know where is this coming from.

But one thing I know is that the Moon Goddess has blessed me more than I had ever imagined.

As my mind drifted back to all the painful memories and sufferings I have been through. I thought that my fate was so cruel. That the Moon Goddess had hated me for just letting all the horrible things keep happening to me.

But now. Now that I had met my true mate all had changed.

That great thing was waiting for me. Destined for me.

And even though the ones who had hurt me and had caused me to feel pain, I had forgiven them and now I wanted to help them to be out in the darkness they were in. To be able for them also to be free from anger, hatred, and painful memories of what they had been through.

Just like I had.

Just like me. They deserved to have a second chance in their lives. A second chance to experience to leave peacefully and no more hate and aches in their hearts.

"Thank you" she whispered pulling my mind out of my reverie.

I pulled away from her and nod my head at her. Then I stood up.

"Come now," I said as I laid down my hand in front of her.

She look at me curiously but grabbed my hand and stood up.

I turn my back on her while holding her hand and started to walk out of the cell. Once we were outside of her cell I let go of her hand.

"I'll do whatever you wish me to do," she said and bowed down.

"Someone needs you more than I do."

She looks at me curiously but then she just nods her head and then she turns her head to look around.

"Is it alright to the Alpha King that I was out of the cell?" Gulping hard as she looks at the guards.

"Don't worry about it" I said to her assuringly.

I'll just talk to him later and also I have to tell him something.

I motion my head at her for her to come with me.

I walk my way out of the cell with Denise following behind. She don't want to walk by my side for she said that I was her Luna Queen and that she needs to just be behind me.

I can sense that she felt agitated towards the guards but I kept on to finally be out in there.

I now feel the exhaustion and tired from what I did but I have more to do. I don't want to waste any more time thinking about all that's been happening to me. To overthink things and especially to my mate.

'Just a little bit more and I would see him after this.'

Letting out a sigh as we we were finally out of the dungeon. The guards at the entrance bowed down as I walk passed them.

I was itching to can't wait to see him. My tired body needs him, to feel him under my skin.

I stopped walking and closed my eyes. Shrugging over the feeling of missing him.

"Are you alright?" Denise said behind me, asking worriedly.

I opened my eyes and took a deep breath and then started to walk again.

"You need to change first and have you clean up."

She shouldn't be looking horrible facing her pup. She's all covered in blood and her clothes were torn and ripped.

But then I shouldn't let her in my mate's room.

I am sure, he doesn't want her scent to linger in his room and he would be furious to know that I had let her in.

Summoning one of the guards and ordered them to have Denise changed into proper clothes and have one of the servants assist her and help her ding at her bruises.

"Once she's done take her to me."

I nod my head at Denise for her to follow the guard and they both bowed down and walk away.

As for me, I head my way back to his room.

Closing the door, I hurriedly went to the bed to lay my exhausted mind and body and abruptly I fell asleep.

A soft knock had me woke up. I stretched my body before getting up and walking up to open the door.

As I opened the door, my eyes found Denise now looking pleasant. The servant she was with bowed at me.

"All that you have said my Queen is all been done to her."

"Thank you. You may leave."

I laughed to myself thinking I am getting used to this kind of authority over them.

I closed the door behind me and stepped outside. I look at Denise from head to toe. She's now all ready to meet her pup.

"I can't wait for them to meet! I'm sure the pup will be very happy to see her mother!" Squealed my wolf while wagging her tail.

"Me too."

Turning my back on Denise and she silently followed behind me. Taking several steps just near my mate's room.

Stopping at the third door next to it I gently knock.

Helga opened the door. Her face lit up when she saw me.

"He's been patiently waiting for you, my Luna Queen" she gently whispered.

I turn my head behind me to see Denise looking curiously and then set my eyes back on Helga.

"Is that her, my Queen?" She abruptly asked.

I smiled at her and nod my head.

Her face brimmed with excitement and her eyes were already threatening to cry. Then she stepped aside the door for us to enter.

I walk my way inside and Denise curiously follows behind. I heard Helga close the door.

I saw the pup walking out of the bathroom fixing his pants.

"Helga, I'm all done."

He said once he's done fixing his pants then he looks up.

His eyes found mine and he was surprised to see me.

"You came back!" He yelled and run towards me.

I bent down to his level and touch his head.

"Of course, I came back just as I promised. A promise is a promise."

And then I stood up.

"And as I had promised to bring her to you."

I look up behind me and motion for Denise to come. Her tears already welled up in her eyes upon realizing where I had taken her.

She comes forward to see his pup. The tears fell across her cheeks as she run towards the pup and hold it in her arms.

"Mommy!" Said the pup surprised and now also crying.

While behind me, I heard Helga also crying upon seeing the two holding each other.

My heart felt proud and full of happiness, witnessing how two hearts and souls, a mother and a child be in each other's comfort.

"Mommy, where have you been?" Asked the pup at Denise.

Denise pulled away from her tight embrace at him and gently wiped his tears away.

"Are you alright? Did someone hurt you?"

She look at his pup up and down, checking him if he was hurt.

The pup shakes his head at her mother.

"No, Mommy I'm fine. I was really scared Mommy!" Then he started to cry again.

"Hush now, Brielle. Mommy is here. I will never leave you again. I promise."

"Helga took care of me and feed me. And she" his little finger pointed at me "She promised me to see you and now you're here Mommy."

Denise whipped her head to look at me and my heart melts from the way the pup had said what I had told him.

"Thank you so much, my Queen. I would be forever grateful for all you had done for me. For us."

Then turn back to look at his pup.

"Say thank you, Brielle. She is the reason why I am now here with you. We owe her a lot."

As if the pup understand what Denise told him, he walked up to me and hugged my legs, and whispered 'thank you.'

I bent down to hug him back and pat his head.

"Your mommy is now here. No more crying okay?"

"I promised," He said then turned away and went back to his mommy to hug her again.

"I miss you, Mommy."

"I miss you too baby so much!"

They hugged each other again, never wanting to let go.

I let out a sigh as I see both of them are now together and happy.

The door behind us abruptly opened and an angry voice reached my ears.

"What is the meaning of this?!"

I turn around to see my mate furiously staring at Denise and the pup and then his eyes found mine.

Staring at me angrily and intently.
