CHAPTER 29

"You've gone through a lot more than the rest of us could Emily." Kelvin chuckled out as he ran a hand through his hair, completely taken aback with her story as she nodded at his words with a shrug of her shoulders.

"Well I ran away from it eventually, so there's no saying I was strong enough to endure it like someone else would." She chuckled and Kelvin shook his head in denial.

"I would have probably always been crying every single day. Plus the fact that you managed to escape a rapist, that's.... Really something not many four year olds could run away from." He pointed out as she smiled slightly with a small nod of her head.

"Well, I was so used to being beaten up so I just assumed he wanted to hurt me, that's why I ran away." She chuckled out lowly. "I knew it was bad, but not many four year olds could think it was bad before it hurts them."
