[Nayla's POV]
It's a strange emotion, seeing my ex-husband in front of me and not loving him. My head and heart are one against him; both worked quick as lightning, shutting out the littlest trace of affection for him.
"I thought you wouldn't care. After a few tries and getting dismissed I figured it's unimportant." I said flatly.
A moment's pause.
"You rarely talk about anything but your sister in law, why would I even bother talking about myself?"
I continued, remembering. He was silent for a second more.
"Melanie's actions are uncalled for. Everybody were alerted to her true nature after the events." He said finally.
I looked at him inquiringly, yet totally unconvinced.
I waited. For what? I could sense a small opening in my emotional closet, a trail head. Perhaps.
"I couldn't really punish her." My ex-husband went on. "She is my brother's wife after all."
