Chapter 46: New Addition

“Are you okay?” I asked, immediately rushing over to her side.

“We have to get her to the hospital,” Luke said.

“Of course,” Lydia said between groans. “Our kid has perfect timing.”

Luke and Marcus quickly came to her aid. Alex and Josh rushed to get the car while Marcus helped her inside it. As we drove to the hospital, I held her hand while Alex assured her that everything was going to be alright.

"Lydia, take deep breaths. Everything is going to be okay," she said, trying to calm her down.

"It hurts," Lydia said, tears streaming down her face.

"I know, Lydia, but you can do this. You're strong, and you’ve done it before," I replied, trying to encourage her.

She swore and took a deep breath, closing her eyes, trying to focus on calming down. We finally reach the hospital and rush Lydia inside, where the doctors immediately get her to a room.

We sat in the waiting room of the hospital, the tension palpable. We were waiting anxiously for any news from the doctors.
