Shadow pack 2

'Stop.' Zeus's voice rang in Brody's head.

'What now?' Brody thought taking a sharp brake and his Beta and Gamma stopped too.

'Is everything alright?' Kyle mind-linked him.

'Gime me a sec.' he told both of them.

'What's the problem?' he asked the old man.

' You will need to camp around tonight. You can't run back home like that. If you like, you can take your vehicles back home.'

'Why didn't you tell me that before?'

'Because... I forgot to.'

'Lies. You don't forget. I'll mind-link the lieutenant to send a vehicle.'

'Harry, send two cars to the border between the Shadow pack and our pack.'

'Yes, Supreme Alpha.' the lieutenant replied.

'Let's go.' Brody said to his companions.

'Is everything alright, Brody?' Kyle asked again.

'We are driving back to the pack when we are done.'

'What? We run there and then take vehicles back? What's the use of running there'

'Would you rather run back, Adrian?' Brody asked.

'No no no. Let's just do this and go home.' he mumbled.

After two more hours of running, they eventually arrived at the border.

On getting to the border, they saw a lot of people running towards their direction. People were trying to flee.

Brody shifted back into his human form and checked his wrist watch. They were twenty minutes late.

"You all should calm down, okay. Stay away from the woods and stay calm, else you'll be abducted. Kyle, stay with them. Adrian you're coming with me. We'll send as many people as we can to you."

He shifted back and ran towards the commotion. There was fire everywhere and some people were lying on the floor, lifeless. Some were being captured and they were all women. Brody and his companions fought off some of the bandits who turned out to be rouges. They were definitely working for someone and that someone had something we wanted to do with the women. They headed straight for the chief's house and saw that it had been wiped out. No one was there.

They turned to head out when a scent stung his nose. He was in a daze for a few seconds before he ran towards that direction. 'I know that scent. Blood Rose. It was the scent of Blood Rose. The rarest flower.'

'Alpha, wait. We have to head out. Some rouges are still attacking.' Adrian informed him.

Brody had no idea why he was running towards that direction but something there was calling him. He shifted back to his human form and turned to the direction where the smell of blood rose was coming from

'Go. I'll join you soon.' he mind-linked him.

Brody's nose led him to a small room. He stood at the front of the door which seemed to have been broken down. He stepped in and saw a young girl who had fallen unconscious.

'MATE.' His wolf said

'What?' he said with wide eyes.

He noticed two other men in the room and he head one of them say "Capture her."

Capture? Like, take her away? From him? A rumble was formed in his chest as he shifted into his wolf. With lightening speed, he stood in front of the girl in a protective mode.

"Isn't that Alpha Brody? We have to leave now."

"Alpha Brody or Alpha whatever. I don't care. Our mission is to capture-" His sentence was cut short when he saw his partner's head roll to stop in front of his leg. The white wolf had not moved. He looked around but saw no one. He stared at the wolf and his sweat started dropping to the floor. His foot was rooted to the floor, he couldn't move. He opened his mouth to shout out of panick but before any sound could be released, there was already a slash and his head rolled off his body.
