"Evie, what's your surname?" Brody asked her.

"Surname?"

"Hmm."

"I- I don't know why... I can't- I don't remember." she said. 'A surname? I have a surname. I just don't seem to remember. How distracted or forgetful have I been that I don't even remember my own surname for so many years now.'

"It's fine, you don't have to sweat it. You can have my surname. Since we're boyfriend and girlfriend, we care for each other and share what we can. Whatever is mine is yours."

"Can I really do that?" She looked up at him.

"Hmm. Kronides is a good surname, you know. I think it will go well with your name- Evie Kronides. Are you fine with it?"

"Kronides. It sounds great. Can I really bear Kronides?"

"You definitely can."

"Thank you." she smiled.

After a few minutes of silence, she heard him say; "Evie, do you have any relative?"

"Uh- no. My parents died when I was three then I started living with my Uncle, his wife and his kids. After leaving their house, two years later, I heard they all died in an accident."

"I'm sorry to hear that." he said and rubbed her back.

"A lot of people tell me I have bad luck. My parents died, my uncle and his family died, Mr and Mrs Hank died and then the Chief's house got attacked and I'm sure a lot of people must have died too. I really thought that was me before but then someone told me that there's no bad luck anywhere and that fate is just trying to lead me to the right place. Even if I finally get to leave here, it's probably because I've not gotten to my destination in life." After saying all those things, she finally realized the nonsense she was spewing from her mouth. "I'm so sorry. I must seem like a lost cause, trying to find an excuse for her misfortune."

"No. You're not a lost cause, you don't have misfortune and you definitely aren't bad luck. This is your final destination and you're not leaving me. I don't want you to leave me..." He raised her chin and make her look into his eyes. "Can you not leave me? Please."

"Okay." she nodded.

"I won't ask you any more creepy questions. When's your date of birth." He did say he wasn't asking any more creepy questions but all of his questions had only one purpose... CONFIRMATION.

"March 13th. I'm going to be eighteen years old officially once it's March 13th." The expression on Brody's face changed, which she failed to notice. 'The same date of birth? Or are they twins? No! Evie should have been about five hundred years old if that's the case. Even if she had been in the human realm all these years, she should at least be twenty-six or so. She doesn't know me, Dave or Max. There's only one way to find out.'

"Evie, have you always had this hair color?"

"No. I've always thought about it. It seems to have changed overnight. I just saw it that way about a year ago."

"Hmm... okay." That's the answer I was expecting but... a year ago?

"Is there a reason why you're asking these things?" she asked looking up at him.

"Hmm. It's to know my girlfriend better." he tapped the tip of her nose with his index finger. "Why don't you ask me things too. You should know about your boyfriend."

"Can I really ask anything?"

"Hmm."

"What's your name?"

'Really? She doesn't even know my name. But she knows Adrian and Kyle's.' he thought. "Brody." he simply said.

"So you're Alpha Brody that people at the chief's house talk about."

"They talk about me?" he asked like he was surprised. 'Every one talks about me, whether good or bad.' "What do they say."

"They mostly just talk about how you look. They say you look very scary and your presence is suffocating. But it's not true at all."

"Really? You know, I get that a lot. How come you think it's not true."

"You don't look scary at all and your presence is not suffocating. It's rather... soothing."

"Really?" She had no idea how those words make his wolf almost purr. "Is that all they talk about me?"

"No. They also say..."

"What?"

"They say you're very good looking." she said burying her face in his chest.

"So is that also true or is it not true?" he asked smiling mischievously. She raised her head slowly and looked into his eyes. Her gaze went down to his nose and then his lips before she nodded and said; "It's true."

'Oh, heavens.' "You really think I'm good looking?"

"Hmm."

"Well isn't it goodluck finding yourself a good looking boyfriend?" He teased.

"Alpha Brody-"

"No. Just call me Brody."

"Isn't that inappropriate. It'll be disrespectful."

"I want you to call me Brody. You can't use title for your boyfriend." 'It seems like this boyfriend and girlfriend thing is working. But I think I'm really taking advantage of her naivety. Bear with it Evie. I'll receive any punishment when you've become aware of all these.'

"Okay."

"But I want you to say it now."

"B- Brody."

"Yes?"

"What's your favorite thing? Mine is ice cream."

"(chuckle) I figured. My favorite thing... hmm. If it's a thing, then it's definitely blood rose."
