CHAPTER 6 Shutdown

　　Wren's POV

　　I took out my phone and saw that my father was calling.

　　I hesitated for a moment before pressing the answer button, only to hear my mother's voice first.

　　"Wren, are you having fun, baby?"

　　Then my father's voice came through.

　　"When are you coming back? Is it the day after tomorrow? Your mother and I will come pick you up."

　　"I..."

　　I choked as a wave of sorrow swept over me again. I tried to continue speaking, but I found that I couldn't make a sound, as if something was blocking my throat and choking me.

　　There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, and then my father's anxious voice came through again.

　　"What's wrong? What happened, Wren?"

　　I wiped away the tears from my eyes with my hand and said with a trembling voice, "I'm...at Moon Lake."

　　"Why are you there? Did you go alone? Is Ralph not with you--"
