Wren's POV
I glanced at the empty table in front of me. "But our order hasn't arrived yet."
Hayden rested his chin on his hand and casually nodded. "Hmm."
"So, can you tell me now?"
"No, don't be in such a hurry. I said, I'll tell you after we eat."
I closed my mouth, giving up on trying to communicate with him further.
Soon, our food arrived. He had ordered a lavish spread, but I had no interest in appreciating it and started eating quickly.
"Don't rush, Wren. I'll only tell you after I finish eating too."
I suddenly felt deceived. "Hayden."
He laughed, not giving in at all. "So, eat slowly."
Although he said that, I was still eager. Before long, I finished my dinner. Hayden, on the other hand, really took his time, not considering my impatience at all.
Finally, when he was done eating, he stood up and said, "Let's go."
"Where to?"
"Back home. We'll talk on the way."
I immediately stood up and walked with him along the path in the night.
