Charlotte POV

I kept missing my steps and hitting my foot on stones on each step I took while I was making my way back to the pack .I don't understand why it feels as though everyone is trying to rub it on my face that I am not worthy to be the commander of the warriors.

I made my way to a particular tree,I looked up at the height before I began to climb it. I brought out a bag from the branch and opened the bag while maintaining my balance on the tree.I brought out a piece of cloth from the bag before keeping it back then made my way down.

Almost all the trees in our pack have bags hanging on its branches to avoid wandering around the pack naked, not that nudity isn't common to us.

The image of how that rogue pinned me down on the ground came flashing in my head as though it just took place. He's powerful, but he crossed the line with me. I must make sure to deal with him,I don't care if he's my mate or not.

I really need a long run, I seriously don't want to go to the Alpha's mansion, but then I have to go over there so that I can report to the Alpha what transpired between me and that rogue. We must be careful, he might be from our enemy's pack. Whatever his reasons for calling me over, might be, rest assured it will be something serious.

He never calls me over to have any sort of discussion with me. Except for when there is a problem in the pack and I need to train his warriors well, or when one of his children brings a report to him about me.

Every so often I wish my mom never brought me here. I hate the feeling of discrimination which every single person in this pack makes me feel, not that she could help the case anyway; she never knew he would turn out this way.

"Greetings Charlotte."The butler at the entrance of the Alpha's mansion greeted me when he saw me approaching the main door of the Alpha's mansion. I was so lost in thought that I didn't even realize that I'm already standing in front of the Alpha's mansion.

"Greetings Hilton."I responded to him before I walked into the mansion, hoping not to receive another punishment from the Alpha, not that I'm not used to that.

"Greetings my Alpha."I bowed down before my supposed father in greeting, oblivious of any other thing or person. After a few seconds, I raised my head.

"Alpha, you asked for my presence."I said to him while looking at his face. But then I noticed someone sitting in a seat not too close to him_ a guest.

Not just any guest, but the same person whose wolf has white fur. That added greatly to dampening my mood more than it already was. How can the Alpha sit together with the enemy and not only, they both are dining together.

"What the fucking hell are you doing here!"I shouted on top of my voice while I moved closer to him as his beautiful scent filled my nostrils. I almost lost my words to the wind but I managed to compose myself not letting the mate bond nor my wolf control me;I am always in charge.

"Wait Charlotte, there's…" I know that he isn't done with his gibberish words, but I interrupted him with a loud voice.

"I didn't ask for your stupid explanation, and how on earth did you know my name?

How can you enter into a pack and the first thing you do is to begin to attack its members?"I rained questions on him while staring daggers at him, only if he knows how much I hate him.

I turned to my dad and said, still in a commanding tone.

"Dad, do you know what this man over here almost did? I was about to report it to you when I walked in here …" I was still talking, but then his voice sounded loudly, making me shiver involuntarily.

"I saved your life, didn't I?"He let out a smirk while speaking to me.

"How did you save me?"A loud groan from the Alpha made the both of us turn to his side.

"Charlotte, who gave you the authority to walk into my chamber and disrespect my guest in such an unruly manner?" Alpha Durango said to me with a low tone yet it still made me quiver even though somehow his voice gave the order to bow to him, but I refused to do that. I kept my eyes fixed on him.

"I'm sorry, my Alpha."I apologized to him, still looking straight into his eyes.

"Charlotte, my dear daughter, I want to let you know that you now belong to this young man over here." My supposed father announced with a broad smile on his lips as he looked at the man who sat beside him.

"What!" I exclaimed with a bewildered expression.

Jasper's POV

I looked at her surprised expression and I couldn't help but chuckle lightly.

"I will never!

I will never be anyone's property!

Never!"She shouted with a tone full of aura and authority, as though stating finality.

"And who said so?

Charlotte, whether you want to or not, I don't care because I, Alpha Durango, didn't ask for your permission before I agreed to his proposal.

And of all people, you should be well aware that you don't have a choice but to do as I said. You should be grateful that I gave you a home for the love I have for your mom. I gave you a name, Charlotte, you should be grateful to me.

Well, you're not to be blamed, the blood that runs in you isn't mine anyway, might be that of a rogue or a mentally challenged wolf, I'm certain."Alpha Durango lashed out on her.

I didn't expect her life to be this miserable, living with people who don't love her but pretend to, but still disgrace her when they're expected to act like family does.

I looked into her eyes and I could see the bitterness behind those solemn expressions, but she still kept a straight face with her eyes fixed on her dad as though she didn't hear all he said.

"Hello Charlotte, my name is Alpha Jasper of the Crystal Moon pack, I'm thrilled to see you." I stretched my hands forth for a handshake, I had to stop Alpha Durango before he steps over the line.

She looked at me from my head to my toe with a deadly expression before she walked out of the Alpha's Chamber to her room without even sparing me a glance.

I looked at her back as she climbed upstairs to her room. The aura she exhibits keeps me in total awe, the way she takes each step like a true heroine.

"Alpha Jasper, I'm truly sorry for her childish behavior."Alpha Durango apologized to me.

"No problem, Alpha, I quite understand."I replied to him with my eyes still fixed on Charlotte's back.

I certainly will make you bow at my command.
