CRAAAASH!!!
"Oh, my God!" Miriam stood from her desk, trembling, when she heard a loud noise from the front of her office building.
The other woman on the couch, Harriet, stood up and looked away from her phone, alarmed by the commotion too.
The both of them looked over the huge glass window of their building.
With the phone still in her hand, Harriet said, "I'll call 911."
They saw a truck had rolled over the side of the street, hitting another car, but then, as they focused more on that third floor of the building, Miriam screamed, "Sister, there's a woman there. I-I think she got hit..."
"Oh, God..." Harriet's trembling hand finally finished hitting the number and put the phone on her cheek.
"Hello, 911; what's your emergency?"
"Traffic accident, a woman got hit by a truck. I think it's the red light, and the truck lost control..." Harriet followed her report with a swift mention of the street name and address.
