Kristof's Point of View

I seized the opportunity to check out where Aláine lived to better understand what she was like. I was glad that she had a single bed in her room.

No pictures of boyfriends on her dresser. Nothing in the room indicated that another male had been there; not the kind of room to bring someone home to. No potential male suitors I would have to fight off or kill. After all, wolves were possessive by nature, and I was an Alpha, making me doubly so. I would not share.

I watched her put her clothes in a bag, and they were all sensible, and I liked that. I might be the next Kingdom of Grey Moon's Alpha, but it didn't necessarily mean I had extravagant tastes.

I sat down on her bed to watch her, and I was excited that she was coming to live with me. There was no way I was going to let her come back here. She was mine, and I intended to make sure she stayed that way. Yes, I was possessive and determined.
