Breakfast the following day was early and quiet. Although Noah, Michel and I were the only ones from our packhouse going on the mission, Aláine, Zara, Callie, Kieran, and Frederic joined us. Callie, Kieran and Frederic would stay behind with Aláine and Zara. I didn't think there would be any trouble here, but I wanted to make sure. I felt that the three remaining would be strong enough werewolves to handle any problem.

As far as Michel's contacts had been able to ascertain, there weren't that many in Viktor's team. Only three had been seen, so maybe four or five at the most. Hopefully, everything would go smoothly, but best be prepared if something didn't go to plan. Viktor had shown himself to be quite tactical and cunning. I didn't want to underestimate him. There was far too much at stake if I did.
