I have A Job To Do Pt. 3

Kristof's Point of View

Samson knocked on the door, and one of the detectives opened the door and greeted us. He was definitely a human, so I knew there was no way I could force the issue of letting me stay in the interrogation room with Aláine. When she went in, Samson motioned me to come to the next room, where there was a one-way mirror I could look through.

"Sorry, Alpha, I couldn't let you stay in the room with Luna, even if the Chief allowed you," he apologised. "The lawyer for this arsehole would have a field day, and we can't let him walk. He is trafficking women for sex."

Damn! Humans were disgusting at times. I severely doubted anyone in our community would do such a thing, though I wasn't sure about Vampires. They needed to get blood somehow, and I had heard stories.

"At least this way, we can keep an eye on Luna without alerting anyone," Samson continued.
