The Alpha's Human Luna

Nancy Neo was a wanderer, oh yes a restless soul drifting through cities and towns, never tethered to one place for long, she was like a tree with no root. When her family chose to settle in Akin City, a place whispered to be a sanctuary of peace and promise Nancy hoped, for once, to find a semblance of belonging. But beneath Akin City’s polished front lay shadows deeper than she could imagine. Nancy’s days were ordinary, her nights lonelier still, as she wandered the unfamiliar streets, yearning for something she couldn’t name. Little did she know, the modern world she inhabited held an ancient secret. Among the greatest of these: werewolves lived among them, hidden in plain sight, their true nature masked by human guise. One fateful evening, curiosity drew Nancy beyond the city’s borders into the wild fringes of the land. The air was electric under a full moon’s gaze, and the forest seemed to pulse with an energy both intoxicating and forbidden. There, in a hidden glade, she stumbled upon a sight that would alter her life forever—a pack of werewolves celebrating beneath the argent glow, their howls a haunting fear that sent shivers racing down her spine. She thought she was invisible, cloaked by the shadows of the trees. But the pack’s alpha a figure of raw power and grace caught her scent. As the alpha’s gaze locked onto hers, Nancy froze. The breath she had been holding escaped in a startled gasp as recognition struck like lightning. It was Baby, her lover. The truth slammed into her like a chillwave, pulling her into a whirl of disbelief, fear, and heartbreak. Baby wasn’t just a werewolf—he led them. The man she had trusted, the one she thought she knew, was a creature of the night. Caught at the crossroads of two worlds, one fragile and familiar, the other untamed and feral. Nancy was forced to confront the impossible. Could she reconcile her love for Baby with the monstrous truth of his existence? But Akin City held more secrets, and Nancy was about to uncover her own. Beneath the surface of her prosaic life lay a destiny she never anticipated, a path sprinkled with danger, desire, and a power she never knew she possessed. In a city that promised safety, Nancy would learn that peace is an illusion and sometimes, the greatest threats are the ones that lurk within. The moon whispers secrets to those who listen, but beware some truths are meant to remain hidden.

Nancy's POV

"I wish I could, tell me what I should do?" he said concerned. He was still naked. The pain subdues a little. Now it was uncomfortable having him that close to me and naked too.

I quickly pushed him away, "You should leave Wolfe... I mean Leo," I murmur covering myself with the blanket.

"No I'm not leaving," he said.

"I'm fine now, thanks, imagine my dad comes in to see a naked man in my room?" I said pointing at his bare chest.

"Oh, yeah, I will leave next time I will be fully clothed so you don't feel embarrassed staring at me," he said. Well, I was staring I couldn't help it besides it was my first time seeing any guy that naked if you know what I mean.

"I wasn't staring okay," I lie in between my teeth and smile. Now the pain was gone.

"I will see you, Nancy, we need to talk," he whimpered.

"Hell yes, we have a lot to talk about," I whimper stealing a glance at his broad chest and muscular muscles.

A flash of heat hit me as my eyes mistakenly dropdown. I started to feel hot. He smiled as he jumped off the window and shifted in the air landing swiftly on his paws.

I turn and toss in bed, trying to find the perfect position to sleep, just then my phone rang. I crept out of bed to find my cellphone. Finally, I found it.

"Hey mum," I whimper.

"Princess, there is an emergency at the hospital I will be late, don't forget to go to bed early," my mum muttered.

She ended the call before I could even ask about my dad, well I suppose he will be late too. Yeah right, I have been left to my fate. The sun is starting to go down, the night will soon fall. My heart skipped a beat when I remember everything that happen since morning.

I jumped on my feet when I heard noises from downstairs. "Who is there?" I stumbled clinching on my dad's baseball bat as I pull the curtains to see who was at the door. I let out a relief sound when I realize it was Roland and Betty.

"Goodness, I told you to call me," I whimpered as Roland and Betty let themselves in. I close the door as they made themselves comfortable on the sofa.

"We thought it was best we stay with you before the moon set," Roland whispered. He had a hint of anxiousness and frustration in his voice. He was trying to control it and prove he was in charge but was failing miserably. I could see the nervousness in his eyes.

Betty was rather calm, she is a nervous wreck. I hope Roland didn't freak her out with any of this. If she is here with him I believe she already knows everything.

"Betty, you, here?" I murmur trying to find the right words.

"Yes, I know everything, I'm not a wizard-like Roland which by the way I have always known but I also have a secret I need to confess," Betty muttered. There was something different about her not because she wasn't wearing her glasses, she didn't look like the silly girl who could only think of food but rather mature. Now, is she a vampire or a werewolf too? God save me I'm about to faint.

"Relax, I'm not a werewolf or a vampire, like you are thinking," she scoffs.

Well that will do, right thank goodness

"Such a relief right?" she muttered. Of course, I don't know how much of this I can take any longer.

"I read minds," Betty whispered waiting for a reaction.

"You what? What are you too?" someone please shoot me.
