Chapter 54 - Can't Be Bound a Second Time

Alex nodded but then glanced at the Alpha with a seemingly upset look. He stepped closer towards Ryley and whispered in a low voice, "I've learned the truth behind your disappearing case. He told me everything."

The blond didn't dare to look straight into the doctor's pitiful gaze. Alex must feel bad about him, hence he placed his palm on his arm and gently patted him. "Don't worry. This will stay between us, I won't even tell Zach about it. But you need to be careful from now on."

He turned towards Clyde and said with a firm tone, "I entrust Ryley to you. Don't let anything bad happen to him again."

The Alpha felt that Alex was sincere with his words. But still, he had to make sure of one thing. "Of course I will protect Mr. Ryley, even with violence if needed."

Alex just flattened his lips and threw his gaze somewhere else when he heard the man's reply. Now he's convinced that the guard was just as childish as his little brother.
