"S-Sure, please wait." Michael said before he rushed to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Alex tried to stabilize his breath after inhaling such a dangerous scent, his hands slightly trembled as he prepared the shot and finally jabbed it on his thigh, causing him to bit his lips hard that he almost tore the skin.

He rolled his sleeve and looked at the watch on his left wrist, waiting for the pendulum to move past two numbers before letting out a deep breath.

"H-here, here is the water." Michael came and gave a glass of water to Alex.

He propped his glasses and asked with a worried look, "What's wrong, doctor? Why did you suddenly cough?"

Alex had a complicated look on his face as he tried to answer the question.

Michael… was an Alpha. Maybe this was the reason why he didn't notice such a strong scent inside the room.

Maybe this scent didn't affect Alphas…
