Chapter 108

Maise looked at those two, who were staring expectantly at her. She loved Rowan and there was no doubt about it inside of her heart. But she accepted her engagement with Prince Maddox and he was a good man. 

"Rowan," She started to say and he opened a wide smile when he heard his name, while Maddox frowned, "I can't understand why you're here. Aren't you engaged to Lady Strauss?" 

After hearing that, Rowan felt shame take over his body. He knew Maise was not wrong, of course. In fact, she most likely accepted to marry Maddox because of his engagement. 

"I will cancel that. I don't want any other woman but you, Maise." He said, sincerely and took a deep breath, getting up from the floor. "I love you and it was a huge mistake to treat you the way I did. I promise you it will never happen again and all my days will be just to make you happy."
