The Alpha's Downfall

Among the approximately two million middle school students who took the exam, only the top 100 scorers of the entrance examination are offered a scholarship in the most prestigious school in the country, Chen Academy. One of the students who were offered a scholarship was Uriel Delavin, a seemingly narcissistic omega who grew up in the countryside and was showered with endless compliments from those around him. Breathtakingly beautiful and blessed with intellect, everybody in his hometown looks up to him and envies him. The reigning king of the school of the elites, Theodore Greene, is an arrogant alpha who grew up pampered and spoiled by his parents. Devilishly handsome, charismatic, smart, and filthy rich, there was no doubt that he was branded as the man who was at the top of their school. What will happen when these two people meet? With their incompatible personalities, how will their love story unfold? __________ "Where did it all go wrong?" That was the question I had inside my head for so long. Perhaps, I knew the answer all along but just chose to ignore it. You're my biggest mistake. You're my destruction. You're the only person who has ever led me to my downfall. You make me so vulnerable. Seeing how you ignore me as if we're perfect strangers finally made me realize my mistakes and opened my eyes to see the answer to my question. 'Where did it all go wrong?' I can now answer this question after pondering about it for the longest time. It all went wrong from the very first time I met you. It all went wrong from the very first time I laid my eyes on you. It all went wrong from the very first time I spoke to you. It all went wrong because... ... you're you. Because you're Uriel Delavin, my favorite mistake, my most beautiful destruction, and my sweetest downfall. ----- *R18* NOTE: This story contains sexual content and vulgar words that may not be appropriate for some readers. Chapter 8

The first day of school wasn't really anything special. I was expecting a bit more from this school since Chen Academy is one of the best schools in the continent, but it operates just like how normal schools do.

Today is the second week of school, but from today until Friday, we will be focusing on the available clubs at school.

They gave us this much time since there are a lot of clubs to choose from and most of them also require screenings or auditions. Having to do that for each and every club applicant will take a lot of time, so they probably decided to give more time for the club officers, so it wouldn't stress them a lot when classes go back to normal.

"Which club are you gonna join?" I asked Chesca, who just transferred to the seat next to mine. "Well... it's not really a club, but I'm gonna join the Student Council. They're recruiting a 1st-year representative, and I'd most likely win so I'm gonna go for it. Student Council members aren't allowed to join clubs since their schedules will be packed, so that's my first option. If ever I won't get accepted, then I'll just join the Art Club," she said as she leaned her back against the chair.

"What about you?" she asked. I looked at the pamphlet in my hand and looked at the available clubs. There are 28 clubs available, but I only have one club on my mind.

Before classes even started, my mind has already been set on joining that specific club.

"I'm gonna join the Drama Club," I smiled. "Hmm?" Chesca raised a brow as she smiled. "Is there a special meaning behind it? You look like you've already decided that a long time ago," she continued.

Chen Academy is known to have a great Drama Club. Every year, the club holds a drama on stage and collaborates with the Creative Writing Club for the script and Film Club to produce an indie film that is guaranteed to have a lot of viewers. It would be nice if I get to act in either of the two even if it's a minor role.

Plus... It's been a dream of mine to be able to act in front of an audience or maybe just let them see me act since I was greatly inspired by my favorite actor since childhood.

"It's nothing special. I just want to act, and I was kinda inspired by a favorite actor of mine. That's all," I said as I rubbed my thumb on the pamphlet. "Oh? Who is it?" Chesca asked as she leaned her face a bit, showing her interest in what I just said.

"Troy Lee. He's a phenomenal actor. I really like each and every one of his movies. So far, he only has 5 dramas, since he's originally a movie actor, but I like his dramas as well. It's really impressive how his name became known at the age of 20 and got really popular at the age of 22," I said with an excited tone. "I wanted to become an actor because of him, but being one is just a pipe dream for me since it's not practical. It's not guaranteed for me to succeed, so I'll just settle for the Drama Club," I continued.

"You really like him a lot, huh?" Chesca giggled. "Uh-huh!" I nodded with a bright smile. "It's still a bit early for this, but you should definitely come to my birthday in September. I'll show you something good," she winked.

I don't really get how that's related to our topic a few seconds ago, but...

"Okay!"

*****

Chesca and I separated ways since the clubs we want to apply to are quite far apart from each other. The Student Council room is on the 5th floor, while the Drama Club is on the ground floor.

Now heading downstairs, I could already spot a long line of people from afar. To apply for the club, we have to fill out a form first and then we'll receive a number and a date as to when our screening schedule is.

I hurriedly ran towards them and stood behind the last person in the line, since there are quite a lot of students who want to apply for the club.

I quietly waited in line since I don't know anyone else here. I looked behind me and saw that the grounds were already starting to get crowded.

Some students were handing club posters to invite students, and some were even forcefully dragging students to their club rooms and stalls.

"Hey, student! You look like you'd be interested in our club. Come with me." I immediately looked at the person who grabbed my arm. The shock was evident on my face as he dragged me away from the line. He had a huge build that made him look like a bear, and just seeing how he looked made me realize that I can't get away from him.

"I'm joining the Drama Club... Please let go of me," I said as I tapped his hand that was holding my wrist. "Oh, no. I'm sure you'd find it boring. Plus, that club's president this year is not as competent as the predecessors," he said without looking at me and not minding how I was trying to remove his hand from my wrist.

"I'm sure you'll find our club a lot better. It's fun in our club!" he said and laughed loudly. "Even so..." Before I could even insist, he spoke over me. "We're here!" he said in a voice full of glee.

I was too focused on his hand that was on my wrist that I failed to look at my surroundings. I lifted my head and saw what he was looking at.

It was a club stall under the shade of a huge tree. It has a sign where 'Outdoors Club' was written in capital and bold letters.

Sitting on the chair next to the stall was the most dazzling and captivating person I've ever seen in my entire life.

And...

I was attracted to him as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
