The Alpha's Downfall

Among the approximately two million middle school students who took the exam, only the top 100 scorers of the entrance examination are offered a scholarship in the most prestigious school in the country, Chen Academy. One of the students who were offered a scholarship was Uriel Delavin, a seemingly narcissistic omega who grew up in the countryside and was showered with endless compliments from those around him. Breathtakingly beautiful and blessed with intellect, everybody in his hometown looks up to him and envies him. The reigning king of the school of the elites, Theodore Greene, is an arrogant alpha who grew up pampered and spoiled by his parents. Devilishly handsome, charismatic, smart, and filthy rich, there was no doubt that he was branded as the man who was at the top of their school. What will happen when these two people meet? With their incompatible personalities, how will their love story unfold? __________ "Where did it all go wrong?" That was the question I had inside my head for so long. Perhaps, I knew the answer all along but just chose to ignore it. You're my biggest mistake. You're my destruction. You're the only person who has ever led me to my downfall. You make me so vulnerable. Seeing how you ignore me as if we're perfect strangers finally made me realize my mistakes and opened my eyes to see the answer to my question. 'Where did it all go wrong?' I can now answer this question after pondering about it for the longest time. It all went wrong from the very first time I met you. It all went wrong from the very first time I laid my eyes on you. It all went wrong from the very first time I spoke to you. It all went wrong because... ... you're you. Because you're Uriel Delavin, my favorite mistake, my most beautiful destruction, and my sweetest downfall. ----- *R18* NOTE: This story contains sexual content and vulgar words that may not be appropriate for some readers. Chapter 30

"I like... Yuri?" Theodore said with a flushed face. Chester nodded and said, "Yeah, you do. Why don't you try confessing to him?"

Theodore stood up, and Chester said, "Yeah, like, when you're ready and when you're—" Chester's eyes widened when he saw his cousin walking in Yuri's direction.

His body froze for a while because of the confusion as to why Theodore did that. 'Why is he going to Yuri?' Chester thought.

And then it hit him.

Theodore was about to confess to Yuri.

Chester hurriedly stood up from his seat and ran towards Theodore, who was already in front of Yuri.

"Hey," Theodore called the omega. Yuri looked at him and tilted his head a bit as he gave him a questioning look.

"I think I—" Before Theodore could even speak, Chester covered his mouth and dragged him away while saying, "Please don't mind him!"

'What was that?' Yuri thought as he found the two of them a bit weird. "What happened? I saw Chester and Theo here," Chesca asked as she came back with a plate of dessert in her hand.

'Haha, another plate again,' Yuri thought as he smiled, finding it cute how Chesca eats a lot. 'She's just like the kid I know back at home,' he thought.

"I don't know either. Your cousin came to say 'hey' and then Chester came to take him away. That's it," Yuri shrugged.

Meanwhile, Chester, who was dragging Theodore back to their table, felt his face becoming hotter and hotter as he felt embarrassed for his cousin.

"You said I should confess," Theodore mumbled. Chester stopped walking and faced Theodore. "I did, but why would you confess NOW?" Chester said as he gritted his teeth. "Theo, you really shouldn't do that right now unless you want to embarrass yourself and get rejected," he continued.

"Because I always get rejected, I don't want you to experience the same thing too. Why don't you go drink a glass of cold water? It might clear your head," Chester said and patted Theodore's shoulder. 'And sober you up,' he thought.

"Mm... Okay," Theodore said as he nodded. As he turned around, he saw someone familiar who just walked into the garden.

He wasn't in the garden earlier, so it was rather clear to Theo that he just arrived. 'Ah, it's Jace. That's why Chester told me to go,' Theodore chuckled softly as he shook his head and walked to the table where the water was.

'Do I really like him...? Enough to actually walk up to him and try to confess?' Theodore thought as he continuously drank two glasses of cold water as per Chester's advice. He put the glass down and looked at Yuri once again.

The same feeling came rushing into him.

His heart started to pound and his hands started to sweat in coordination with his heartbeat. That's when his hands started trembling as he felt overwhelmed with his emotions.

"I do like him," he whispered to himself and let out a sigh as he lowered his head and palmed his face.

Finally clearing his head and everything he's been so confused about, the fear and uneasiness he felt these past few days was replaced with relief.

Relief that it was Yuri whom he liked and not someone else.

"Him?" Theodore jumped upon hearing someone speak behind him. It was Troy, his mom, who had an intrigued look on his face.

"N-No... It's nothing," the alpha said as he tried walking away to avoid his mom. Troy stopped him from walking away by holding his shoulder.

"No, no. Mommy can't allow his baby to keep his first crush a secret," Troy smiled with a hint of threat as he looked at Theodore. The alpha looked around, looking for a chance to escape to somewhere with a wide space so he could get away.

"Maybe Mommy could help you, baby," Troy continued upon seeing how his son wanted to get away from him so desperately.

Theodore paused for a while, thinking whether he should really ask his mom for help.

"It's that pretty boy, isn't it? Chesca introduced him to me earlier. Yuri, was it?" Troy said with a gentle smile on his face. "You've been glancing at him a lot," he continued.

Theodore's face turned bright red upon hearing what his mom said. "F- Fine, I'll tell you..." the alpha said in a soft voice as he looked away. "But not now," he continued.

"Everything is still new to me and I'm still a bit overwhelmed right now, Mom, so I don't think I can tell you right away," Theodore said and looked at Troy. "That's alright. That's more than fine. You can take your time. After all, everything has its own time. The same goes for the two of you," his Mom said as he rubbed Theodore's back.

"Just remember that no matter what the situation is, you should never ever put pressure on him or do anything that he doesn't like. Did I make myself clear?" Troy said and raised his brows as he waited for his son's response.

'I never thought of doing that, but I should keep that in mind,' Theodore thought.

Theodore nodded, and Troy smiled upon seeing how his son looked.

Theodore, the boy who always strived to be perfect in the eyes of many—excelling in a lot of things ever since he was a kid—was finally facing a situation in his life where he can't just let his academic smarts control him.

Theodore, the boy who always got what he wanted, was finally in a situation where he's wanting to have a person all for himself.

The alpha looked in Yuri's direction and saw him laughing with Paris and the others. Even from afar, he could tell that Yuri likes Paris.

'It's funny how I can see it all clearly now,' he thought.

And Theodore, the boy who was always winning, found himself losing.
