The Alpha's Downfall

Among the approximately two million middle school students who took the exam, only the top 100 scorers of the entrance examination are offered a scholarship in the most prestigious school in the country, Chen Academy. One of the students who were offered a scholarship was Uriel Delavin, a seemingly narcissistic omega who grew up in the countryside and was showered with endless compliments from those around him. Breathtakingly beautiful and blessed with intellect, everybody in his hometown looks up to him and envies him. The reigning king of the school of the elites, Theodore Greene, is an arrogant alpha who grew up pampered and spoiled by his parents. Devilishly handsome, charismatic, smart, and filthy rich, there was no doubt that he was branded as the man who was at the top of their school. What will happen when these two people meet? With their incompatible personalities, how will their love story unfold? __________ "Where did it all go wrong?" That was the question I had inside my head for so long. Perhaps, I knew the answer all along but just chose to ignore it. You're my biggest mistake. You're my destruction. You're the only person who has ever led me to my downfall. You make me so vulnerable. Seeing how you ignore me as if we're perfect strangers finally made me realize my mistakes and opened my eyes to see the answer to my question. 'Where did it all go wrong?' I can now answer this question after pondering about it for the longest time. It all went wrong from the very first time I met you. It all went wrong from the very first time I laid my eyes on you. It all went wrong from the very first time I spoke to you. It all went wrong because... ... you're you. Because you're Uriel Delavin, my favorite mistake, my most beautiful destruction, and my sweetest downfall. ----- *R18* NOTE: This story contains sexual content and vulgar words that may not be appropriate for some readers. Chapter 19

It's a weekday again.

Yuri and Chesca are currently playing Put a Finger Down with their classmates since their teacher is absent and she did not leave any activity for them to do. They moved their chairs to play while facing each other. They've been playing different games since earlier, and they just switched to Put a Finger Down a few minutes ago.

"Put a finger down if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend," one of the girls said with a grin. She already had two fingers down, while the others had more fingers down.

"Hey, that's unfair! It seems like you're intentionally targeting me, Angel!" Chesca pouted as she put a finger down. "Well, that's because almost everybody knows that you have a boyfriend," Angel laughed.

'She has a boyfriend? She never mentioned him before, though?' Yuri thought as he watched the two jokingly argue.

"Okay, next! Put a finger down if you already kissed someone," Chesca said and beamed. Most of them put a finger down, while Chesca didn't.

"You have a boyfriend! Why aren't you putting a finger down?" Angel said as she looked at Chesca as if she was so suspicious. "I've never had my first kiss, though?" Chesca giggled.

"What about y—" Chesca's eyes widened as she looked in Yuri's direction. "You've already kissed someone?" she said as her eyes sparkled. "Yeah? I think I was 12 when I had my first kiss," Yuri laughed.

"Oh my!" the girls giggled. "Any plans of dating anyone right now, Yuri?" one of the boys asked as he looked at the omega with a smile on his face.

Paris' face popped in Yuri's head and he unknowingly blushed at the thought of dating Paris.

"He's blushing! So you do!" one of the girls squealed. The guy sitting next to the boy who asked earlier nudged him and said, "Lucky you, huh? Seems like you can shoot your shot, Vince." Vince chuckled shyly and said, "Cut it out. It's not like that."

Suddenly, Yuri felt something on his shoulder. He turned his head to look at what is was, and to his shock, he saw Rain's head on his shoulder.

"Are you playing something?" Rain asked in his usual monotonous voice. "Y-Yeah... Wanna join?" Yuri asked as he faced straight once again.

All the other students who were playing with them turned their heads in Yuri's direction. Vince's eyes were fixated on Rain, who looked very close to Yuri. 'Why is he acting like they're so close? I've had my eyes on Yuri since day 1, but they never looked this close before,' he thought, still staring at Rain.

"Why do you keep looking at me? Wanna say something?" Rain said as he lifted his head and straightened his body while looking at Vince. "Ah, no. I was just looking," Vince smiled.

"Okay, class! Get back to your seats!" The teacher suddenly came in with two textbooks in his hand. The students went to their seats and hurriedly put their chairs behind their desks.

Before Rain sat on his chair, he glanced at Vince, who was sitting at the back. 'He's still looking at me. Did I do something bad to him?' he thought as he sat on his chair.

'Whatever it is, it's probably not that serious since he didn't even confront me.'

"Do you have a crush on Yuri?" Vince asked as he looked Rain in the eye. "I don't," Rain answered briefly. "You seem awfully close to him, though? I think you're after him too," Vince said, doubting Rain's answer.

'I thought he'd never confront me, but here he is,' Rain thought.

"If you weren't gonna believe me, then you shouldn't have asked. You're just wasting my time," Rain said he sighed. "Move," he said and pushed Vince a little.

Rain started walking to go back to the classroom and grab his bag. Vince called him to the science lab since it's empty during this time. He figured it would be the best place to talk to Rain about it, but it seemed like Rain was just gonna leave even though they haven't talked to each other properly yet.

"Hey! He's mine, got it?!" Vince yelled. Rain stopped in his tracks after hearing what Vince said. He turned to look at him and tilted his head. "Too bad. I don't think that's gonna happen," Rain said as a half-smile formed in his lips.

"Besides, he owns himself. He's a person. He's not something that you can own," Rain shrugged.

Rain left the room, leaving Vince alone.

"Fuck! He said he doesn't have a crush on him. He's probably talking bullshit. There's no one in class who doesn't find Yuri pretty," Vince said to himself and let out a frustrated sigh.

As Rain walked in the hallway with a smile on his face, he couldn't help but let out a soft laugh when he remembered what he said to Vince.

'My mood is pretty good now. I didn't think something like this would happen this early. Though, what I predicted to happen really did happen,' Rain thought. 'Anyway, he's such a big joke. Did he really think Yuri would like him?' he thought as he snickered.

"Dumbass. Of course, that's not gonna happen. Yuri will never like you," he mumbled to himself while smiling as he spotted Yuri talking to Paris with a smile on his face.

'... because he likes Paris,' he thought.

"Rain!" Someone called his name. Rain turned in the direction where the voice came from and saw Theodore walking towards him.

'Yuri will never like Vince because he likes Paris,' he thought to himself.

"Could you give this to Chesca? She asked for my notes last time. I forgot to give them to her," Theodore said as he handed two notebooks to Rain.

"Sure," Rain nodded.

'And it's become less likely that Yuri will ever like Vince because there's another factor that I have to keep in mind,' Rain thought as he took the notebooks from Theodore's hands.

'An unpredicted factor that appeared just now,' he looked at the alpha, who was looking somewhere else instead of looking at him.

Rain turned his head in the direction where Theodore was looking, and a smirk formed on his lips when he saw what his friend was looking at.

'Theodore... I wonder how you'd make things more fun.'
