Mirage’s P.O.V
“Hello, grandmother.” There was nothing pleasant about the way I addressed her and from the way she winced at me ditching the formalities, I knew this was going to be one difficult chat.
“I’ll give the two of you some privacy.” Alpha Charles got up from the chair and motioned for the boys. The three of them left soon after and then, it was just me and her…the woman I had wanted to see at least once in my lifetime so I could understand the reason why she abandoned her children like he meant nothing to her at all.
“You’re not Fae by blood.” She spoke harshly as soon as the coast was clear. “I don’t think you have t-”
I raised my hand and opened my palm to the bright rays of light that showed my Fae powers clearly.
The Fae Queen gasped out loud, surprise clear in her face. “You lied to the Council?”
