Chapter 1- The Alpha's Bane

"Oden, she is in labor you might want to come and meet your first seed".One of the nurses hurriedly announces to him as she races back to the labor room. 

Though the werewolves lived and mingled together with the ignorant humans. They were very careful not to expose themselves or their existence anymore. 

Because some sick werewolves broke out and attacked the humans in the past thereby instilling in them that werewolves were untamed beasts that didn't deserve to exist. This led to the werewolves building a secret hospital where they were treated and delivered to their young ones. 

"Oh, that's good news I can't wait to meet my son"! He said as he sat up and started walking to the delivery room to check on his wife. 

After ten hours of painful labor, the nurses found out that there would be complications that may require a c-section to deliver the baby. 

So they sought to ask Oden for permission as they should. 

When Oden heard this from the nurse he became disturbed as he didn't want anything to happen to his mate. Eve was already getting tired from the unending contractions which seemed to be draining her life force. 

"Let's go on with the surgery!" he finally replied to the nurse who was about to lose her patience. 

"Okay let's go! The nurse shouted and the team of doctors and nurses started getting ready for the operation. 

While they were about to apply anesthetics to null the pains and the effects of the surgical blades the werewolves were not immune to anything made of silver. Eve began to scream at the top of her voice in pain. 

This brought attention to the whole pack gathering all of them around. Oden rushed over to Eve to console her. 

The doctors and nurses start whispering in shock as they see the baby making his way out in his werewolf form. ''We haven't seen such a thing in all our years of experience" one of the nurses shouted in awe.

 Eve couldn't bear the pain as the baby kept coming out without her being fully dilated. 

While all this was happening Oden started panicking for his wife.

 "Eve you have to make it," he said as he kissed her forehead, balls of tears forming in his eyes. 

"I don't think I will make it my love please take care of our baby and the pack" Eve whispered to her husband and with the last scream the baby was out in a flash. 

Immediately Eve's vitality starts falling and she starts breathing less normally, almost dying. The doctors and nurses started running around in panic as they didn't want to take the blame for Eve's death. 

Oden held his wife's hand tightly not wanting to let go. "He killed you! That baby killed you! He took you away from me"! Oden whispered to his dying wife while looking around to see one of the nurses holding the baby. 

Eve with her last strength raised her left hand and touched her husband's face drawing back his attention to her. Oden looked back at her wife and with a beautiful smile she gave up the ghost and her hand fell back on the bed while the other hand grew cold. Watching Eve's smile wither away broke his heart. 

He kissed her again and covered her eyes in pain. 

"Give me the boy"! Oden commanded in rage as he made his way in fast movement to the nurse carrying the baby. The nurse hesitated for fear of him killing the sweet little one.

"I said give me my son"! His rage grew even more that his nails grew and he started increasing in size, almost changing completely. The nurse cowering in fear had no option than to hand over the boy to Oden. 

"Please don't kill me". the nurse pleaded as she fell on her knees shaking uncontrollably with her face bowing as she stretched her hand with the baby towards Oden. 

After some minutes of the nurse waiting to be killed without even daring to look up, Oden finally took the baby that had already changed into a human completely. 

Picking up the child, Oden couldn't help but meltdown as he saw the exact look of him and Eve on the boy. The boy had his mother's eyes, hair, and smile. 

Carrying the child in his arm he walked to the bed where Eve was lying lifeless on the bed covered in blood and mucus. The innocent boy smiling at his father melts down his rage as his father keeps looking at him. 

Looking back at his wife's lifeless body brought back the pain and rage and he stood up in anger and looked at the child in his hand. 

With the boy smiling again his rage came down and he changed back again to a human. 

This continued for some time with Oden going back and forth in his decision to kill the child. After what seemed like forever he found out that he couldn't bring himself to kill the boy. 

Oden finally spoke up while looking at Eve's cold body."I name you Klaus this day in the absence of your mother. Let it be known in the whole land that you killed your mother. And you shall not receive my Fatherly love and care". 

Walking away from his wife's body and walking to the nurse who was still kneeling. He continued to speak to little Klaus "For taking away my joy and happiness and giving me a lifetime pain to live with you will only know pain and misery your whole life". 

He handed over the baby to the nurse who was holding him earlier before he spat out in disgust and continued "I cause you evil child to be in pain every midnight until you find a mate that will love you amidst your pain and agony. You took her away from me. Your pains shall be like a silver sword piercing the back of your spine only your one true love shall be able to pull it out".

Immediately after he said the last word, the moon darkened and lightning struck out of nowhere. The heavy wind starts blowing, throwing down things in the theater room and immediately a little sword is seen piercing Klaus's back as he changes to a wolf. His father watched him cry out in pain. 

"You deserved it. Take him away from me. I don't want to see him anymore! Oden commanded in rage and disgust as he made his way out of the room. 

Oden changed completely to a wolf as he raced to the peak of the mountain to howl and announce Eve's death to the whole pack. 

The nurses and doctors who had witnessed all that happened were in fear and hurriedly cleared up the whole place. They cleaned up Eve and took her body to the mountainside where Oden and the whole pack laid her to rest by dawn. 

Meanwhile, the nurse whom Klaus was handed to didn't know what to do as his scream gradually turned into torture to her ears. She tried to remove the sword several times that night to no avail. The more she tried the more it stuck deeper into his spine and it would increase his pain.
