"You should not have invited them to our anniversary party, mother!" Carlos told her firmly.
"But why not? We have had a long time business with their family for years." Gina tried to defend herself.
"But Governor Robert's son is the ex-boyfriend of my wife." Carlos pointed out.
"What is the problem? I mean, you both are married now!" Gina responded, not looking at her son straight in the eyes.
"Yes, we are married but I know you did this purposely. You know what? If they are coming, I don't think that I'm going." Carlos told his mother positively.
"What, you have to be there because you will be the head of the company soon. You and your wife can't miss this, understand?" Gina blasted out but Carlos ignored her to go upstairs to his room.
Meanwhile, Christain was seated in one of the luxurious and well-decorated chairs in their parlour while his parents seemed to have ganged up to lecture him.
