Dirge POV
A room with Thessalia!
Dirge congratulated himself for maneuvering the room situation to his advantage.
Now, he just had to set the stage for romance. Thessi was next door in Calyx’s room making sure her friend was comfortable. No telling when she’d walk through the door of their cozy room with more paintings of great moments in shifter history on the walls.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilmour and their staff had turned down the bed, with pillows piled high. Dirge wasn’t as smooth or as knowledgeable as his brothers.
Would Thessi prefer that he sleep on the sofa? She hadn’t even blinked at sharing a room. Why? He knew that elves approached love and intimacy like witches. They lived centuries–they could afford to be patient. But Thessi had kissed him impulsively and sparred with him. On the other hand, they hadn’t had much alone time. The quest and his family consumed so much. Not that he was complaining! But all of his brothers got time alone with their mates.
