The next morning, Alec had already left by the time I opened my eyes, leaving the room strangely quiet. And empty.
"Morning." Salony chirped in my head, far too chipper for the mood I was in. "Sleep well?"
"Sure. Like a baby." I thought sarcastically. "It was great. I found what's in the contract after all."
She snickered. "We are stuck, even if it was not the contract. So, move on."
Yes, I was forced to marry him. I was stuck with him but I never thought it would come with a that contract. The tasks in the contract… in that damn contract would repeat until we fall in love with each other.
It was like "Fall in love in one year," "Produce an heir," and "No pressure, just keep the entire pack from imploding." Easy, right? Falling in love… with him? The man could barely form a full sentence that wasn't a command.
"But princess, he left a note." Salony chimed in my head again.
I blinked, confused. "A note?"
