Chapter 2

Let's recap what happened:

After 2 excruciatingly long lessons, it was finally time for break. Jamie walked out of the classroom and headed to the library. Unluckily, an angry blonde gorilla was towering in front of her.

If you guessed that this angry blonde gorilla was Ruby, you are correct. "I'm not done with you Little Miss Perfect, " she yelled as she dragged Jamie with her hair. End of recap. Now let's see what happens next.

Poor Jamie was dragged by this evil blonde witch to the girl's bathroom. The humiliation she faced along the way was enough to build herself a river double the size of the Nile river and drown herself in it. Everyone was laughing at her, no-one cared about her feelings. Someone even remarked, "Little Miss Perfect's getting what she deserves." That made Jamie's heart drop, tears threatened to spill from the corners of her eyes. Did she really deserve this?

Ruby snatched Jamie's bag off her and looked inside. "Look what we have here: a phone, pencil case, books and notebooks. It would be a shame if something bad were to happen to these, right?" Ruby uttered in a fake but mocking sweet voice. "Please, don't do anything to them, " Jamie pleaded, anxious of what damage would arise to her precious items. Ruby gave her a wicked smirk. "Tessa, open the toilet stall, " she ordered. Tessa gave Jamie a small sneer as she opened the door of the stall.

Tessa was one of Ruby's top lackeys, popular, a cheerleader and self-absorbed. All of Ruby's devoted followers were in a group called RMF ( Ruby's Most Faithful). Currently, assisting Ruby in the bathroom were: Tayla Elvers, Jessie Mays, Tessa Hill and Alana Rockirl. The most loyal followers of RMF. To be honest, she didn't know why Alana was in that group because she was really nice to her. Perhaps, because of fear.

Instantly, Jamie knew what Ruby was going to do. Ruby grabbed all of Jamie's items, rushed to the toilet and threw them in. "Fetch, little dog, " she decreed and laughed maliciously. Oh, no! What should Jamie do? Ruby walked towards the exit and before she left she taunted, " Don't you ever tell anyone about this or I'll make your life a living hell." Her RMF's followed obediently like little ducklings along with her. Alana looked back at Jamie sadly and mouthed 'sorry'. Jamie was left to collect her things as the other girls in the bathroom glanced at her whilst gossiping about the incident in pity. Her items were damaged, soggy and unhygienic. Her phone was clearly broken so she'd have to use the school phone. Jamie sighed, accepting her unfortunate fate. Though luckily, she had spare pens in her front pocket.

Ring! Ring! Ring! The bell rang, it was time for English a.k.a the worst lesson in the world. English was the most boring lesson ever, it was excruciatingly long and felt like forever. Jamie was good at English, she was good at all her subjects. After disposing of her items, Jamie walked in disappointment to her lesson.

After English, it was Science and soon after, it was lunch. The cafeteria is always full so Jamie decided to sit under a tree. She didn't have any friends to wait for or talk to like the other kids. The only friend she had was an online friend she chatted to named AnonymousFox129. AnonymousFox129 was a girl maybe around her age that often talked to Jamie about how her cruel cousin would bully her into doing her bidding and Jamie would tell her about her experiences with Ruby. AnonymousFox129 was always friendly and helpful, she gave Jamie wonderful advice. Alas, Jamie's phone was broken.

For lunch, Jamie had a plain cheese sandwich and an apple flavoured juice box. She had the same thing for lunch every single day. Jamie's family didn't have a lot of money so they had to make do. It was penetrating eating the same thing over and over again. She had the exact same meals: eggs and toast for breakfast, apples and oranges as a snack, cheese sandwiches and apple juice for lunch and Pasta for dinner. Jamie rarely had sugar and on those rare days she got a sweet even if it was a small one, she would cherish it and treasure the moment.

Imperfection No.2: Lack of money. Jamie's family had never really had a lot of money but they have just enough to cope with life. Although they don't have much money, they are a very happy family and are appreciative for what they have. Jamie lives with her mother, father and younger sister, Macie.

Munch! Munch! Jamie took two bites of her sandwich and thanked God for the food that she had. After a couple more nibbles, Jamie had eventually finished her sandwiches. Just as she was about to take a sip from her juice box, she suddenly remembered that she needed to call her parents using the school phone.

Swiftly, she scrambled away to the reception. "Excuse me, Miss but may I please call my parents?" Jamie questioned kindly. "Yes, of course!" the receptionist exclaimed. "What's your name?" she asked. "Jamie Morrelli, " Jamie replied. The receptionist hastily dialled the number and handed the phone to Jamie. After three rings, her mother finally answered. "Hello?" her mother inquired. "Hi, mom, it's me. I broke my phone b...by accident. I...I tripped and it slipped out of my hand, I'm sorry, mom, " Jamie told her. "It's alright, honey, we'll save up to get you a new one. Get home safe, " calmly replied, her mother. "Thanks, mom, bye!" "Bye!" Jamie handed the phone back to the receptionist. Jamie had never told her family about the bullies, she didn't want to worry them. Hence, she stuttered, she wasn't a very good prevaricator.

Ring! Ring! Ring! Jamie was displeased, she hadn't finished her juice box and had to throw it away. Her next class was Music, when she'd arrived everyone was there. "Miss Morrelli, you're late, I expect better from you, " Mrs Callister boomed viciously. "Sorry, miss, " Jamie whimpered fearfully. Mrs Callister was quite scary, rumour has it that she'd once expelled a student for playing the wrong notes on the keyboard. Everyone was looking at her with joy, waiting for the perfect girl to crumble. Giggle! Giggle! Their laughter started and soon turned to cackles of chuckles. Though everyone was laughing, Alana's seemed to look rather fake. Her mouth was laughing but her eyes were staring deep into Jamie's longing for freedom and feeling regretful. It was as if Alana had no control over herself. Maybe, Ruby was controlling her. Or maybe Jamie was just imagining things. Who knows?
