Chapter 07. A Miracle

"How can you be here? No... no... I mean, you are a patient who has been in a coma for one year..."

"No, I mean, erm... you should still be in your room..."

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that..."

The doctor was babbling incoherently. He felt mixed emotions upon seeing the girl's presence.

The security guard who was with Violla frowned at the doctor's behavior.

"What are you trying to say, doc?" he asked.

"Who's in a coma?" he asked again.

But there was no answer from the doctor.

"Miss Violla, forgive me for my behavior. I hope you can forgive me. I was just a little surprised and happy to see you here because a few hours ago, you were in critical condition. You need to know that you were in a coma for one year. Seeing you here like this is a miraculous thing," said the doctor.

"Coma?" Violla looked at the doctor and the security guard alternately.

"Violla Anette Anderson, the sole heir of the Anderson family. The girl went into a coma after a traffic accident last year," the doctor clarified his statement.

'Anderson? Isn't that the famous wealthy family? But wasn't Mr. Anderson unable to survive the accident? That means the girl is an orphan now,' thought the security guard.

On the other hand, the doctor was silent for a few seconds as if he was searching for the right words to say. Because usually, someone who just woke up from a coma needs further treatment, such as physiotherapy to help with physical recovery, occupational therapy, and even some post-coma patients need to undergo psychotherapy.

But after seeing the girl wandering around here, it was very hard to believe, and this was the first time in his life he had seen a post-coma patient wandering around as if she hadn't complained like Miss Violla. It was very confusing, but regardless of all that, he felt grateful.

Mr. Erik would be very happy to know his niece's current condition.

"And your presence here makes me very surprised, Miss. I thought it wasn't you, but after seeing up close, it is indeed you, Miss Violla. Oh, I almost forgot, I am Daniel, the doctor in charge of you during your stay here," the doctor said again while introducing himself.

After hearing the doctor's words, Violla finally understood why she was having difficulty moving. It turned out that her body, or rather, the foreign body she occupied, belonged to someone who had been in a coma for a long time.

"Does that mean this is the first time I've woken up?" Violla asked curiously.

A faint furrow appeared on Dr. Daniel's forehead. "Miss, you should go back to your room; I'll escort you. I also want to check your current condition. It's not a good idea to talk here. You can ask me anything later while I check your body condition," he said gently.

"I heard that an unexpected accident happened at this hospital a few hours ago, and a girl was the victim. Before going back to my room, may I see the girl? I'm curious about her condition."

"Miss Violla..." the security guard reflexively called out her name.

Dr. Daniel was confused because when the accident happened, the girl was still unconscious and even in critical condition.

"I met Miss Violla on the hospital's upper floor, precisely on the floor where medical equipment and other items were stored. Miss Violla saw the meteor crash victim, Doc. I thought she was lost and ended up there," the security guard explained.

Dr. Daniel nodded in understanding. "Alright, Miss. I'll take you to see her after I check your condition and make sure you are in good condition," he said, then he called a nurse and ordered her to get something.

It didn't take long for the nurse to come and bring a wheelchair.

"Please sit down, Miss," Dr. Daniel said to Violla.

"I'm fine. I don't need this wheelchair," she replied.

"I'm afraid you might get injured, Miss. Please sit down here. I'll take you back to your room."

Violla sighed heavily, then sat in the wheelchair without saying anything.

The security guard who was with them excused himself to continue his duty.

During the journey to the fifth floor, Dr. Daniel asked the nurse to contact Mr. Erik to inform him that Miss Violla had woken up.

A while ago, after Miss Violla passed her critical stage, significant changes in her body condition made Dr. Daniel feel that it was an incredibly miraculous event. He knew that Miss Violla would soon wake up from her coma, but he never expected it to happen so quickly.

Dr. Daniel couldn't express his feelings. For him, even the word "miracle" was not enough to describe everything.

On the other hand, Violla, or in other words, Starla, tried to find a way out of all the events that had befallen her. Being able to see her own body meant that her soul had moved to the body of a girl named Violla.

But how could that happen? In the Centauri kingdom, she had never found anything that could transfer someone's soul to someone else's body.

Since earlier, her mind had been divided, but her focus remained on her necklace. Suddenly, she felt hesitant. 'Is this the territory of Centauri C, or am I stranded in a place far away from the Alpha Centauri Kingdom?'

It was not without reason that she thought so. She had found many anomalies and new things when she first opened her eyes. Furthermore, if she was in Centauri C, the Centaurus would have come to see the aftermath of the meteor collision a few hours ago, but so far, none of them had come.

Upon entering Nona Violla's room, the doctor and nurse immediately conducted a complete medical examination of the girl's body.

"Mr. Erik will be very happy. He will come soon, Miss," said Doctor Daniel as he is doing the medical examination of the girl's vital signs.

"Erik? Who's Erik?" Violla asked. Suddenly, she remembered the man who had kissed her a few moments ago.

Doctor Daniel's hand movement stopped for a few seconds, and Nona Violla's body examination paused for a moment.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Violla asked, feeling a little uncomfortable as the nurse and Doctor Daniel looked at her at the same time.

"Mr. Erik is your uncle, Miss. Don't you remember anything about him?"

The girl shook her head. It was not that she did not remember, but she was not Violla.

"Do you remember your name?" Doctor Daniel asked again.

"I am Violla Anette Anderson," she answered.

Doctor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing her answer.

"Didn't you call my name a few moments ago?" the girl said again.
