The Aeternus Universe

The year of humanity is 2415, and DDVR and VRMMORPG's are commonplace now. It's extremely hard for a new game to come out and be successful. The greats of these genres have ruled for a few centuries now. A new game is releasing soon, and it has promise to be one of those. The Aeternus Universe. A Virtual Reality game has what you would expect from a game in this genre. However, some things make it special. One of those being the exploration and adventure through galaxies and The Aeternus Universe. Other games in this genre take it to fantasy and medieval times. This is set in a universe where there are super advanced technologies, spaceships, and Mecha suits—lost Alien tech ready to be found and claimed. Some of these all come together. The story starts 2 days before the release of the game, and with our protagonist—a 20-year-old male by the name of Scott Autumn. He is one of the few jumping from the current major game to this one. Seeing its potential for greatness and chance to be one of the biggest games on the market.

~~~(POV: Scott Autumn)~~~
I exit hyperspace, and I'm in the Yelare System. A few seconds after me, Durado comes out of Hyperspace himself, and that means we've both made it. "My ship's scanners are showing that Teller-Bravo's fleet has been destroyed... Along with all the drones running security..." Durado's voice comes through the comms systems, and I decide to run a scan myself.
I see what he sees. Teller-Bravo's fleet has been completely annihilated, and so have the drones. I didn't consider this. The only explanation I can come up with is the ruins have done something.
Durado and I both approach Heroor, and as we get closer, we have to slow down to navigate the debris field carefully. "What kind of weapons have enough power to destroy an entire fleet... Teller-Bravo's, no less... They have the best tech and weapons..." I start to talk through the comms system.
While I suspect it has something to do with the ruins, the amount of energy and firepower needed to destroy this much is tremendous. We ride side by side as we slowly breach Heroor's atmosphere. We're heading straight for the ruins.
I run another scan, and all the mech suits being piloted by people have been destroyed too. "You reading this, Scott?" Durado ran a scan, and we're seeing the damage being done.
All of a sudden, both of our starships get locked in some sort of field. "What the hell!?" Durado's voice comes through one more time before cutting out and nothing but static.
Our ships are guided to some landing pads, and as we land, a floating machine that I've never seen before approaches us. My mind immediately disassembles it, and I know it's Primordium.
The design is too amazing to be anything other than that. The floating machine makes its way toward my starship. It scans my ship, and as it does, I watch all of its red lights turn green.
The next thing I know, my hatch is being opened, and I'm being pulled out. I look over to Durado's starship, and I see him trying to get out, but his ship is locked down. I struggle to get free from the machine's beam as it lifts me, but I can't do anything to get free.
It brings me to it and opens up. I'm placed inside, and this all fits what I saw from its design. In the next second, I start to slip into unconsciousness, and I'm soon asleep.
~~~(POV: Durado)~~~

I struggle to open my hatch manually, but my ship isn't responding. I watch the machine take off with Scott inside. It heads towards the ruins in the distance. Another machine soon comes and makes its way toward my ship.

It begins to scan, and the red lights stay red and make a sound as if loading weapons. I don't waste any time, and I blast the hatch open with my blasters, and I jump out.

As I do, my starship is destroyed, and I'm sent flying off the platform and into the forest below. I crash through trees and break branches.

The ground is cruel as I hit it, and I lose my breath from the impact. I try and take deep breaths and catch my breath. After a couple of seconds, it works, and I'm gasping in and out. It doesn't last long, though, cause I'm up and running.

I have to dodge blaster bolts that are being fired from the machine pursuing me. The same one that blew up my ship. I take some shots back, but nothing works.

Nothing is damaging this thing in the slightest. It's sophisticated and sleek looking. I don't know what it is, but it's either Teller-Bravo's or Primordium.

I jump into a river and use it as a cover, but that doesn't work. The damn machine follows me in. I take a hit in the leg, and I release a scream from underwater.

I crawl up on the bank, and the machine follows me, and as I sit on the bank, soaked and with nowhere to go, it makes its approach. I hear its weapons charging, but before it can shoot me. It falls to the ground with no power.

I hear steps from behind me, and a group of people comes out of the jungle forest and their Teller-Bravo. The leader holds some sort of device. "Pick him up." Before I can grab my blaster, I'm knocked out.
