The chicken from the air fryer is delicious, and I can't get enough. The TV is on, and it's the news channel I always watch when it comes to gaming.
"There has been a catastrophic parasitic outbreak in the Impyra Galaxy. Players that the Parasite kills are being respawned in neighboring galaxies."
That was to be expected. The Parasite has probably consumed all of Impyra.
The Primeval Inherent isn't someone I can't outsmart on my own, and despite all my mental gifts, I'm no longer the most intelligent organism in The Aeternus Universe.
The Primeval Inherent has taken that. Aurora comes in right behind it, and I follow her up in their place. My knowledge is still growing, but I don't think I'll ever compete with The Primeval Inherent.
My food is almost gone, and I'm still famished, but that can easily be solved with more food. After getting some snacks and chips, I sit back down on the couch.
"In other news, Aegis has released a new Starship, and it's selling fast all over The Aeternus Universe."
Good, they've started to release the starship designs I've sold them.
That 12 percent royalty should be coming to me soon, and that'd going to be a lot of credits. Enough to start up some new projects.
"While Aegis's economy is booming, many galaxies and governments from several corners in The Aeternus Universe are looking to Teller-Bravo to take responsibility for what happened to the Impyra Galaxy."
That's what I'd expect.
The brave man that sent out that distress call saved more people than he'd probably ever realize. If he didn't do what he did and expose Teller-Bravo, then no one would have known about the Parasite until it was already out of Impyra.
"Galaxies are offering large bounties for Teller-Bravo upper command."
They're never going to get them.
Teller-Bravo is still the most powerful organization and space company in The Aeternus Universe. As I'm watching the TV, I hear the soft tap of bare feet on the tile in the kitchen. I turn and see Jess wrapped in a blanket. She's looking in the fridge for some food.
"Thanks for shopping. I have a bad habit of not doing that."
I'm quick to thank her, but I'm going to do something nice for her.
She looks towards me and smiles. She grabs some yogurt and makes her way over to the couch. She sits down next to me and starts digging into her snack.
"I went shopping yesterday. I played until I was kicked off from lack of water and food. I'm being more careful now, given that I'm pregnant too."
She leans her head on my shoulder, and I smile.
Jessica has proven to be much like me in that regard, and there isn't much to worry about for The Aeternus Universe while that quarantine is in effect.
"Were you able to get out of Impyra before the quarantine? The starship I built for you has enough range for an 85,000,000 lightyear jump with its hyperdrives."
She nods her head as she takes another bite of her yogurt.
I raise my arm and bring it over her shoulders. She leans in a bit more and cuddles her body next to mine. I hug her, and she's fully relaxed next to me.
"I've made a lot of progress. I've made friends and joined a company made by players. It's called Starjumpers Incorporated."
While the name isn't the best, it's definitely not the worst. I'm glad she's made friends and joined a company.

He's so warm, even through the blanket... I've missed him, and having this moment with him means a lot to me.
"I've been busy myself. There are lots of things I need to do in The Aeternus Universe, but I'm taking a couple of days off. How about we go visit mom and dad?"
I'd love that, but I'm a little nervous... I know he has no intention of telling them about us, but it still worries me.
We're no longer genetically related due to the game and the changes we've undergone. However, mom and dad wouldn't understand that.
"Yeah, that seems fun, but make sure they're not busy themselves. If they are, I'd like to go shopping with you. There are things we need for this place now that I'm staying here."
Instead of saying anything, he leans over and kisses my forehead.
That's all the confirmation that I need. We both look at the TV, and the reporter continues talking about other things happening in The Aeternus Universe.
