The Fight

Chapter 3: The Fight

"We are the Cen Clan. Our ship here sent out a distress call, with You aboard it! What have you done to our comrades!!?"

"I don't know what any of you are talking about!" "Wait where even am I!?!" Wesley thought to himself, "No! Where is John, And Brad!" asked Wesley, with distress evident in his voice.

"I am Niho," replied one of the voices "But, who are you?"

"I'm Wesley! Where are my friends!" After he finished yelling his name at the voices, he could see multiple hands reaching for his face. One grabbed the top of his head, another on each side of his face, holding him still. Two more pried his mouth open, while another put two pills in his mouth, Wesley refused to swallow but they had prepared for this.

They leaned his head back pinched his nose closed and poured water into his mouth, forcing him to swallow if he wanted to breathe. Reluctantly Wesley swallowed the pill knowing he would soon drown if he didn't take it. Within minutes he was asleep.

Wesley was awoken by being shoved into a room, weapons hanging on the surrounding walls, swords, spears, shields, maces, long swords, bows, any primitive weapon you could think of.

"Well, hurry up and pick one!" bellowed the guard to his left side. Wesley complied, although he didn't know why he needed a weapon, he had a feeling he would know soon enough.

Wesley's response was to grab the basic shield and sword, he hesitated, then almost on an impulse, grabbed a spear, looking to be around 10 ft long. He held the spear finding its balance, he held it in his, dominant, right hand.

A glimmer of light caught his eye, reflecting off of a dark, small, but, sinister-looking shield, he turned his head towards it, grabbed it, slipping his left arm through the dark leather straps on the inside of the shield.

He grabbed his spear and shield tightly. He felt like he could defeat anyone or anything!

Wesley's sudden surge of determination was immediately extinguished when he was shoved forward towards the opposite side of where he came in.

He tried to re-establish his balance but the attempt failed, causing him to fall, face-forward, onto the ground.

Wesley brushed himself off. He could hear shouting coming from the wall he was looking at, it sounded like cheering in english and an odd language.

The wall began to rise, tucking itself away into the ceiling. Light gradually shone from the outside, onto the floor in front of Wesley eventually reaching his eyes, blinding him for a few seconds.

Wesley now heard more shouting, this time with more of an aggressive and angry aura coming off of the words.

He stepped into the light. Surrounding him was, what looked like, a stadium, circle in shape. He looked around, seeing hundreds of figures in the crowded stadium, all staring past him, he looked behind himself just now realizing there was someone in the stadium with him.

Wesley looked towards the man opposing him, who looked mostly human, although his face was hidden under a mask resembling an image of a white moon. The figure was wearing a white, leather breastplate, he held one short sword in either of his hands.

Wesley looked at him, sensing an aura so intense he felt hopeless but just then, he heard an extremely loud shout from behind him.

"Fight!" Yelled an almost human-looking man, only he had blue skin, "Let the games begin!"

Wesley nearly jumped back in surprise. "Fight! You want me to Fight?" Yelled Wesley, at the blue man, no reply. He turned back just in time to raise his shield, blocking an onslaught of attacks from his attacker.

He jumped back, steadied his spear horizontally, and stabbed, straight at his attacker. His opponent sidestepped and flicked away the spear, with ease.

Applause came from the crowds, along with a few joyful alien screams. Wesley quickly recovered, moving away from the sword-wielding man, as fast as possible. He realized he was severely outmatched and he would have to come up with a brilliant plan, in the next few seconds, or he would surely perish.

"That's it!" Wesley thought to himself. "If I can reverse my grip at the last second, it might work."

Wesley charged at his opponent, holding his spear a little bit towards the head from the center, balancing the spear perfectly in his grip. He thrust the spear at his opponent.

The spear was certainly doomed to be deflected, but at the last second Wesley reversed his grip on the spear pointing it down at the man's legs, cutting through his defense, the spear hit its mark, releasing a grunt of pain from the white armored warrior.

Wesley raised his shield to protect himself, walking slowly away in the process. The crowd cheered, "Terran! Terran! Terran!" Wesley didn't know what the word "Terran" meant, but he knew they were cheering for him.

A sense of pride washed over him.

He threw up his arms in a celebration but unbeknownst to Wesley the fight for his life not yet over.

The man rose to his feet, staggering. As he rose, Wesley backed up more.

He started to run at Wesley, slashing wildly at him as he did so. Wesley, not being able to block, barely dodging a swipe at his chest. He stabbed at the man with his spear, hitting him in the hand, it didn't even phase him, he kept running at Wesley.

Wesley, realizing he was only backing himself into a corner, stabbed at his opponent, almost catching him off guard, he stabbed again, this time though, he made sure it connected to his torso. A crude sound came from the tip of the spear from where it met the other man's body.

Almost like metal hitting metal. The man, or perhaps, the android? Kept chasing Wesley into a corner, his arms now swinging more wildly.

Wesley waited for him to swing again, once he did so, Wesley would strike.

He started to think the android had started to calm, but then he swiped with both swords, giving Wesley his chance. Wesley readied his spear. "Now!" He lunged forward with his spear stabbing the android dead center of his chest, where he predicted most of the electronic parts would be. It worked!

The android fell to the ground, with a loud thud. Wesley had won.

Hopefully this is the best chapter so far, if you disagree let me know.
